Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, November 05, 2018

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan led chants of "death to America" on Sunday and derided American conceptions of democracy and freedom during a visit to Iran, planned as a show of support for the regime ahead of the re-implementation of U.S. sanctions. Farrakhan railed against American policymakers for harassing the Iranian people and siding with Saudi Arabia in its proxy war with Iran in Yemen. "I understand how the enemies have plotted against the Iranian people and I would like to stay alongside you to stop their plots," he said.

During a subsequent speaking appearance at the University of Tehran law school, Farrakhan mocked America's founding ideals while praising the Islamic conception of women's rights and Iran's strict enforcement of female modesty. "America has never been a democracy and has always leaned towards the wealthy and powerful class," he said before leading the law students in chanting "Death to Israel" and "Death to America."

Farrakhan, who recently referred to Jews as "termites," has been lauded by Women's March leader Tamika Mallory as the "GOAT" or Greatest of All Time. Linda Sarsour, Mallory's fellow Women's March leader, has also praised Farrakhan on multiple occasions and has refused to condemn his anti-Semitism.

Asked about his relationship with Farrakhan, Representative Danny Davis (D., Ill.) said "I don't regard Louis Farrakhan as an aberration or anything, I regard him as an outstanding human being who commands a following of individuals who are learned and articulate and he plays a big role in the lives of thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of people."

Representative Keith Ellison(D., Minn.), who is now running to be Minnesota's attorney general, has met privately with Farrakhan on multiple occasions. Then-senator Barack Obama's 2005 meeting with Farrakhan was captured in a recently released photograph.

Louis Farrakhan's anti-Semitism and the silence of the left

"But if you're of the left, and happen to be a Democratic Party politician, you can get away with making excuses for notorious anti-Semite and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

And when those excuses are made, the left is largely silent.
...
"White folks are going down. And Satan is going down. And Farrakhan, by God's grace, has pulled the cover off of that Satanic Jew and I'm here to say your time is up, your world is through," Farrakhan said in his speech.

He said other things too, but I'm not going to spread his hate here. What interests me is the silence of the left.

I think Donner summed up just about everyone's reaction to what Farrakhan said, "Who gives a fkkk?"

He's not a politician.

You're the only ones putting him on a pedestal and paying any attention his statement.

As for Farrakhan. His actions and words come with consequences. He will have to deal with them. Whatever they may be.

Be it death at some's hands, or just derision by you two.

Time will tell.

Setting aside the fact that Jews aren't a race, painting the Democrats as racist or anti-Semitic will only peel away votes from the GOP.

When I was in high school I walked in on my dad listening to some crazy guy's speech on the radio. Dad wouldn't tell me who it was; made me guess. After about fifteen minutes I figured it out.

I remember two things from that speech, one was Farrakhan saying something about "and when the Jew who wants to hire you for the housekeeping job says 'and you do do windows, don't you?' and at another point it was something about men being manipulated by women via their "inverted pyramid of love."

And the more I think about it the more Trump comes off as White Farrakhan.

Nothing more bizarre than the Women's March led by the anti-semitic sharia supporter Linda Sarsour. She's a real piece of work

.

"Don't join this year's Women's March unless you're good with anti-Semitism

With the Pittsburgh shooting so fresh and anti-Semitism (alas) so necessary a topic, it's time for a reckoning with the Women's March. This January, women who say they stand with Jews need to boycott the Women's March.

The first year of the march, it made sense that many otherwise normal people would attend. It was just two months after Donald Trump's shocking victory. Many were dazed and upset. The march was quickly organized by people whose names were not yet known to everyone.

Linda Sarsour is one of the leaders. Articles soon sprang up about terrible comments she made: She supported the radical Muslim Brotherhood. She praised Sharia law, which, among other things, includes second-class status for women. She was open about her fandom of Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam.

In 2012, she tweeted: "When we write the history of Islam in America, the Nation of #Islam is an integral part of that history."

Perhaps she didn't know Farrakhan said "Hitler was a very great man" in a 1984 speech or that in 1985 he warned Jews: "And don't you forget, when it's God who puts you in the ovens, it's forever!"

"Then there's Women's March co-president Tamika Mallory. In a February 2018 speech, Farrakhan said, "Jews were responsible for all of this filth and degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out, turning men into women and women into men. White folks are going down. And Satan is going down. And Farrakhan, by God's grace, has pulled the cover off of that Satanic Jew, and I'm here to say your time is up, your world is through."

Mallory attended the speech. She once posted a picture of herself embraced by Farrakhan, referring to him as "the GOAT" (Greatest Of All Time). So when she pointedly refused to condemn Farrakhan's anti-Semitic and anti-LGBT comments after being asked, it was no surprise"

#76 | Posted by snoofy, I wish that were true, but the black neighborhoods I have lived in police presence is almost nil. The come out to take pictures and canvas the locals when they come to pick up bodies.A little uncomfortable fact for you, murder victims are black over 5 times that of whites, population considered. Most are gang related, over turf for the drug trade or retaliation. The drug war has produces more dead than any war we have ever raged, and that war is waged on ourselves. That and a majority of our prison population is tied to drug offenses. Hell, the war on drugs is lost, drugs won. People are dying to get high. Legalize all of them, at least you would know what you are getting. Remember, until the Mann Act in '33 they were all legal. You could go to any drug store and buy Heroin or cocaine legally.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here. What changes because of "population considered?"

You're saying blacks get murdered more than whites? I agree. So does Colin Kaepernick.

I agree with this. I'm for full decriminalization of all drugs. You know, freedom.

The War on Drugs has always been racist, which makes all cops and judges complicit in a racist system, even if they aren't personally bigoted themselves.

#80 | Posted by snoofy Depends on what drug you are talking about, last I looked plenty of red necks are doing time for crank. BTW, the penalty for crank is the identical to the penalties for crack and heroin. I consider drug use natural selection in action.

#79 | Posted by snoofy, Right now a young black man is more likely to die from a bullet than a soldier in WWII. Much more likely in Chicago.

Or as you call it:
Natural selection.

You ever wonder if black people are so damn poor for reasons other than their own laziness?

#84 | Posted by snoofy Don't think so, my kids work pretty damn hard. BTW, they are all black. But they do have a term for those who don't- "ghetto".
