Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, November 03, 2018

The American culture of violence is manifest in the Pentagon, movies and videogames. Next is the hopelessly corrupt Republicans and their allegiance to the NRA, gun rights, mining, oil and gas which feeds these pigs at the trough. Their motto: death, death and more death. 100 companies are responsible for 71% of the world's global emissions. This is why Chomsky considers Republicans a threat to mankind's survival. This is where Republican money and stupid mean ideas come from! There is a direct link between Trump's rise and increased hate inspired violence. The State is always interested in repressing the left, and by falling into the trap of reactionary blaming "both sides", we end up fighting ourselves more than the true oppressor? Donald Trump and his trolls may be into online games, but with access to guns, or worse the entire U.S. military, the anger and short-sightedness of these people becomes extremely dangerous.

A GOP Loss Means More Violence.

Conversely.

A GOP Win Means More Violence.

Over 600 left-wing violent attacks so far this year, all of them kept off of MSM. It's sort of shocking the level of information control the left is doing, and the weird part is how they don't understand that intimidation tactics always backfire.

"Over 600 left-wing violent attacks so far this year, all of them kept off of MSM."

And where are they posted? Stormfront?

And where are they posted? Stormfront?

I wouldn't even question where they're posted.

Republican "alpha males" have become such ------- they're probably counting any action by a lefty as an "attack", all while downplaying the MAGA bomber and MAGA shooter and the incel yoga shooter and....

Like everything else, the right is leveling accusations against the left in proportion to how much the commit such acts themselves.

#4 How could you be that God damned stupid?! Do you read any sites that aren't owned by the five billionaires?

Here: www.zerohedge.com

Stormfront. Jesus.

You honestly think that anyone who isn't a brainwashed PC idiot is a Nazi? That is frigging hilarious.

"Conversely.

agreed. Articles like this only validate the need to switch power to another party.

Let's not be afraid of voting in another party.

"100 companies are responsible for 71% of the world's global emissions. This is why Chomsky considers Republicans a threat to mankind's survival."

Then let's put another party in power. I'm all for it. But don't be naïve.....those 100 companies aren't taking their billions set aside for political influence and just go home. They'll influence whomever is in power.

#4 Here, read reason.com

They have writers from all political backgrounds. And they haven't been de-platformed yet like Anti-War.com, Truth-Out, or the World Socialist Web Site for dissent (yet).

I honestly think most people who support Trump are Nazis. They reject that label until Donald tells them it's cool.

Oh, sure. There are some confused people who vote for Trump. They settle their confusion by falling into line behind Nazis.

Morons. You won't find lists of leftwing violence, harassment, death threats, hoaxes, etc., from leftist sources. Duh. The only sources that compile that information are right-of-center.

www.attacksontrumpsupporters.com
www.breitbart.com

Both of those sources will be slaughtered by the leftoids, of course.

HeRat's zerohedge post makes an important point in support of Trump's claim that there is violence on both sides in our deeply divided country. It also points to a broad media conspiracy to undermine Trump's Presidency.

None of which changes the fact that most, but not all, right wing talking points are BS. For example: We see from the economy's response to the tax cut – increased growth, lower unemployment, and no evidence of accelerating inflation, that the economy benefits from a larger budget deficit. It is unfortunate that this boost gave more money to rich people. A middle class tax cut would have boosted demand much more. Countries that pursued austerity and reduced their budget deficits saw slower growth and higher unemployment. The promise of an investment-led economic boom has not been realized. Meanwhile, the Fed is slowing growth by raising interest rates, ever fearful of inflation which has never materialized, except for gas prices driven by Trump's renewed Iran sanctions.

The point is right wing economic policy is deeply flawed, serves only the rich and has been adopted by both parties in the USA. Still, we are lucky it has not been implemented in its more extreme forms imposed on the EU and our Southern neighbors. Reason magazine has a strong libertarian agenda, which is deeply flawed. We are an interdependent community and globe, no one rises up by their lonesome self, least of all Trump. Seriously disadvantaging one group for personal gain and then blaming them for their failings is the Trump and Republican way and it is a false narrative.

Zed is either crazy, or has moved so far to the left as to make Lenin look like a centrist.

#12, Note to HeRat, let us not forget the Stanford shock experiment. The potential to do horrible things, whether driven by survival or obedience to authority, is always lurking in the human subconscious. We are taught not to behave that way, with limited success. Many who rise to the top ignore those lessons.

When has America, or any country, civilization, tribe... not been violent?

Human being are violent creatures. We're animals. As much as we are removed from the rest of the animal kingdom. We're still beings who are very primal in nature.

The problem in today's society is there is no "us". America was great after we entered WW2, because the Nazis unified America. We all focused our fears and angers and hate, not at each other, but at the Germans and Japanese and (for some small part) the Italians.

And we won. And the New Deal helped America's poor. Everyone was doing well. the rich were still rich and the poor weren't as poor and we cared about one another.

If we want to make America great again it has to be a unified America. Where the poor are taken care of and the rich aren't running the government and only looking out for themselves.

Trumpism is Jerry Springer fascism.

Ordinary Nazism may be too highbrow for it.
