Former President Jimmy Carter, a Georgia native, wrote a letter to GOP gubernatorial nominee Brian Kemp asking him to step down as secretary of state and hand off oversight of the state's elections to someone else since he is currently running for governor of the state.

"In Georgia's upcoming gubernatorial election, popular confidence is threatened not only by the undeniable racial discrimination of the past and the serious questions that the federal courts have raised about the security of Georgia's voting machines, but also because you are now overseeing the election in which you are a candidate," Georgia Native and former President Jimmy Carter wrote in a letter to Kemp dated October 22.

Kemp won't resign he expects to win by cheating.

Ignoring President Carter may not stop Kemp from winning by cheating but it will deprive him of the normal amount of respect GEorgians have for their governor. He will always be the governor who cheated his way into office. Someday it will be in their state history books. He's a total piece of crap and even conservatives recognize that; admit it? I don't know if most of them have the character to do that.

Born and raised in Ga, still have to visit occasionally, and you can rest assured that no Ga conservative has a problem with Kemp or anything he's done or will do. Their hate for everything non-white and non-Christian is too strong.

I can not think of any President in the last 70 years that has more moral character than Jimmy.
