A demonstration billed as a march for "law and order" in the streets of Portland descended into chaos as rival political factions broke into bloody brawls downtown Saturday night.

Antifa just can't stand to allow anyone to have a voice about anything, anywhere.

Portland has been turned into a homeless toilet by junkie enablers.

Sheeple: Your original headline tried to blame all of this on Antifa, but it was a Proud Boys-affiliated group of right-wing racists who held a "flash march" to a street memorial for a black man killed by police. They were the ones who instigated the trouble that led, quite predictably, to violence.

It's amazing you aren't saying a single negative word about Proud Boys. Here's more about them for your sorely overdue education.

Just curious. How can there be a riot if antifa isn't there?

If people want to 'flash march' for any reason, why does that need to be put down with violence?
So today its Proud Boys, tomorrow its a labor march. Today it's Patriot Prayers, tomorrow it's "I'm leftier than you".

I cannot support the restriction of freedom and speech, regardless of whether I disagree with their platform.
If Communists want to march down the street in red chanting, "We want a commie dictator!" I wouldn't care about that either.

Let the idiots march and chant. they're idiots.
Even more idiotic is rushing out to fight them.

Good article. I say arrest them for assault. In fact every time they assault someone, I support arresting them.

Same goes for antifa and any other alt-org that wants to get violent. Arrest the violent. All of them.

But if some group of idiots want to walk down Main Street and chant idiotic slogans, I say go smoke a bowl, not agitate and become violent.

#9 The SPLC lists Proud Boys as a hate group, but seems to make a point of not designating Patriot Prayer as such (though they are mentioned in many of their missives). Gavin McInnes is a weird little Anglo-Canadian. He is supposedly so filthy rich as an original founder of Vice, I wonder why he bothers with Proud Boys. He also fancies himself to be some kind of stand up comedian, but he's about as funny as Roy Cohn. One weird thing about Proud Boys is that they have a fair number of non-whites in their ranks.

These are stupid questions to ask when we're talking about Proud Boys. They want to commit violence at their demonstrations. The whole point of the organization is to start fights at political protests. They have levels of membership that require members to be violent.

"I cannot recommend violence enough. It's a really effective way to solve problems." -- Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes

The first half of my adult life while in the Air Force I always voted Republican because I thought Republicans were better for the military and that I was voting in my best personal interest ... Old Man Bush (war hero), Dole (another war hero), Dubya (draft dodger) in 2000.

You know that that's all a dumb premise, and I admit it, and people like Nulli used to make fun of people like me (with hindsight I don't mind).

The second we got bogged down in Iraq I started questioning everything and here I am (happily voted for war hero John Kerry, and the Swiftboat douchebags offended me).

I'd support Eisenhower-style Republicanism, but Ike is dead and it's a shame.

Much of what I advocate is consistent with Ike's priorities: balance foreign aid commitments with fiscal responsibility, ensure everyone is treated equally, a balanced federal budget, a vibrant economy, a strong military that focuses on maintaining the peace while being able to deter aggression, enforcing our border security and looking outward into space as the next frontier.

Unless I am misunderstanding his actual age (as opposed to the age that the DR Left somehow foists upon him), Nulli would have been too young to vote in '72. NYPD to pursue charges against 9 members of far-right group Proud Boys for violent brawl

www.cbsnews.com

For one weekend, a violent misogynistic and homophobic street gang of proto-fascists ran amok on the East Coast and West Coast, seeking out and then assaulting protesters in Portland, Oregon, and New York City.

The Proud Boys ― a pro-Trump fraternity known for acts of violence ― started their outburst of violence on Friday night, immediately after members left an event headlined by their leader, Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes, at the Metropolitan Republican Club, the GOP's headquarters in New York City.
