Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, October 12, 2018

"The start of Brett Kavanaugh's tenure on the Supreme Court may look like a victory for one interest group or another. But, more importantly, it is putting a national focus on the issue of sexual assault -- and how we as a country can and should do more to prevent it and to support those who have experienced it. This past month, thousands of survivors came forward to tell their stories. We applaud your bravery. We believe you."

Brilliant.

I am sure RCADE, being a notorious "Pope Squatter" himself, would approve.

As do I.

I would like to see the word "Kavanaugh" treated just like Dan Savage did to "Santorum", with the connotation in this case that when a women is raped or assaulted we can say the assailant went full "Kavanaugh". It would be hilarious if every time judge kavanaugh's name is mentioned in the news everybody associates it with sexual assault. At least more than they already do.

Dang it.
I went to the site thinking I would find tips on getting away with rape, like:
Keep a calendar with innocent activities and make sure not to write down rape details.
Keep a list of people you haven't raped yet, in case you need a character witness.
Have a high credit card limit for those urgent payoffs as required.
Hang out with drunks that don't remember what you did together.

This site is about a lot more than sexual assault.

The creator of this website made a FOI request in May 2017, for documents related to Brett Kavanaugh's tenure in the Starr investigation and Bush administration, but did not receive them in a timely manner and had to sue to get them.

In total, DOJ said that 1,743 pages were responsive to our request, i.e., all e-mails and memos written by and to Brett Kavanaugh during the time he worked in the White House (2001-06). Of those, 899 pages were withheld in full (we're following up on this to ask why), and 844 pages were produced, albeit heavily redacted.

Of the pages produced, about two-thirds were from Kavanaugh's time as associate counsel, and one-third were from his time as staff secretary.

The day is coming soon that old RBG will go face-down in her morning oatmeal, and the GOd-Emperor will be nominating yet another associate justice.

I feel so bad for Dr. Ford.

If this gains traction it will only force not only herself but her accusations into further scrutiny.

That was genuine. I didn't intend any animus toward her.

This website invites a hyper-analysis of her story as a response.

The last time the Dems had power in Congress and the Presidency they accomplished more good for the people than the Republicans have in every one of their moments when they held the same power. The Dems held that power for approximately 74 days. My God, think about what they could accomplish if they had the power for years, as the Republicans have had. But in the U.S., with many many rural states, each having two Senators, that is a difficult thing to accomplish. We are a minority governed nation, that needs to change.

Yes. The supposed to protect the minority from majority excess, but instead, we have minority rule over the majority. There are enough of us that if we all vote we can overcome their voter-suppression tactics.
