Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Legislative forums sponsored by the League of Women Voters Rochester typically are earnest, decorous and orderly affairs. But an exception to that rule occurred Monday during a forum between incumbent GOP state Rep. Duane Quam and DFL challenger Jamie Mahlberg at Rochester Public Library. Near the end of the debate, Quam, seeking to rebut a point Mahlberg made, reached over and yanked the microphone out of her hand.

Civility (not to mention manners) - isn't that what the right is always crying about and a reason for an armed society? I know "lead by example" isn't in the playbook though.

"Basic rule of any society is you dont take anything from others"

Provided slaves and women don't count as human, but rather some other human's propery, then yes. It's ---- near universal. Heck in some cases if you get confusee just remember that everything technically belongs to the king.

#11 | Posted by snoofy at 2018-10-10 05:59 PM | Reply

This is why the GOP has to impeach trump. They'll still be in power, but will stand for human decency.

So far, they have let trump lead the way into the gutter and followed like lemmings.

If repubs let trump serve out his term, they are telling the country that being a stupid cheating lying ignorant bully is the path to success.

incumbent GOP state Rep. Duane Quam ... reached over and yanked the microphone out of her hand.

He just won his reelection.

If the past couple years have taught me anything, it's Trumpublicans prefer brash, garish candidates who are repulsive and aggressive towards women and minorities.

reason for an armed society? I know "lead by example" isn't in the playbook though.

I'm still stuck on "lead" being pronounced "leed" or "lehd" (Pb) in that context.

"Ask Sarah Palin what she thinks about this..."

Sarah Palin deserved everything she got. John McCain lost an election for President because he chose that moron for a running mate. Step into the Presidential race, don't expect kid glove treatment. Are you still butt hurt about how Trump treated Obama? NO, didn't think so.

You're just still butthurt because more Americans voted for a man with good policies who happened to be black than a man whose main appeal was that he was rich and NOT black.

#28 | Posted by hatter5183 at 2018-10-11 10:09 AM | Reply

no butthurt. Are you sure you're not projecting?
It seems that you are offended that Obama won because he is black. And, on top of that, his only accomplishment is that he's the first black president.
I'm not knocking that. It's not even his accomplishment. It's America's accomplishment! I'm giving him a great deal of credit for being brave enough to do it.

Yeah, and Trump is still trying to take credit for saving the economy that Obama rescued from Bush. Obamacare was the most important change to the American healthcare system in 50 years. Don't worry though, the Republicans are now in power with enough time to totally F up everything he did because that is what Republicans do. The Democrats come in later to fix it. BTW, your racism is duly noted.
