John Solomon: The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI have tried to thwart President Trump on releasing the evidence, suggesting it will harm national security, make allies less willing to cooperate, or even leave him vulnerable to accusations that he is trying to obstruct the end of the Russia probe.

This is a HUGE problem that both parties are going to want to gloss over, since it is fairly easy to hide embarrassing documents under the rubric of "National Security."

Short of revising the classification systems, this will be increasingly abused as information becomes easier to obtain and disperse.

I've always felt that a good chunk of redactions were to hide/protect the government from embarrassment. That's not a political party thing, it's a bureaucratic institutional thing and it transcends politics.

Good thing bayviking didn't make this argument for Chelsea Manning or Julian Assange or the usual gang of right wing trolls would have scoffed at it and demanded more blood.

- the usual gang of right wing trolls

Assange and Snowden are roundly hated here, but not by RW trolls.

Obama is complicit, or both of them would be walking free as we speak.

Even better thing (i.e. hilarious) that bayviking is referring to himself in the third person.

I've got money that says at least one redaction is 'HRC'.

Progress. baby steps.

-so are dubya and trump

Of course they are, it's a given. Dem complicity means there is no alternative to a surveillance state.

And you want to keep voting for it, because crumbs. Open your eyes, Duped One.

Per the article, Obama ignoring the alleged Russian intelligence invasion was considered "national security" and utterly denied.

I do not trust the FBI to spell their own names. What a sh_th_ole country this is become.

The reasons I'm against Trump are not involving Russian influence one bit. It's the denial by Republicans. It's the coverup by Democrats.

It's the deliberate limitations of the FBI.

Kudlow was in DC 'splainin' the recent tax cuts will be re-patriated, reminding me of Reagan destroying the working poor.

Citizens United isn't a party thing either. It's an embarrassment at minimum and a death sentence to the non-moneyed.

How many pages of Kavanaughs 1500 could anyone seriously be expected to review and consider within 60 minutes? This nation is a lie. No scandal is too direct to be made inert through obtuse legal opinion and massive redaction. SCOTUS is a terrorist organization. They installed BushCo and started the Iraq war. They are not fit to breathe air, let alone deny a presidential inquiry.

I'm not certain how to say it precisely in modern Russian, but "yatiavor slavorak" or somesuch.

I keep voting for it, because i don't want people to die.

You're real brave to put other's lives on the line for your ideological war instead of your own.

Assange and Snowden run out of town on a rail, in absentia.

sheep,

which must be why Obama pardoned Manning, a fact that reveals his good side

while many of us realize, that more often than not, Obama supported business as usual

Personally, I believe the Manning pardon was more a nod to LGBTQ than atrocities leakers.

The Hill should stop giving opinion pieces the credibility of being viewed on their site. This is garbage and is actually indicative that some real information is about to be released so they go all in with all this garbage to distract us from the real information about collusion which is probably coming within the next few days, that's why this distraction garbage is produced by the same reliable trick ponies every time.

"They are not fit to breathe air, let alone deny a presidential inquiry."

Well said.
1,000,000 dead in Iraq and Bush paints pictures in Dallas? Cheney is still running his evil mouth? 4,000 dead American soldiers and that matters not? Up is down, Trump is good.
We live in a nation run by the Mad Hatter.

This should be a surprise to no one.

They have been known to do this for years.

We now have proof.

How many other times do you think this has happened?
