A new technology in which insects are used to genetically modify crops could be converted into a dangerous, and possibly illegal, bioweapon, alleges a Science Policy Forum report released today. Naturally, the organization leading the research says it's doing nothing of the sort.

You do know that enormous swaths of China doesn't have flying insects and their massive pear orchards must be pollinated by humans, right?

Several species I used to find everyplace as a child are now completely gone.

Whatever you think of as "scary" is already set in motion. The inescapable truth is that science is a fraudulent industry. Roundup doesn't occur in nature FOR A VERY GOOD REASON.

The tsetse fly has kept large chunk of the African continent in poverty with disease that kills livestock en mass leading to widespread famine and overwhelming poverty. Fact is most tropical areas in the world are the most impoverished because of the damage caused by insects every year. The more tropical the more malaria and as the global warming progresses the more tropical climates will expand carrying with the all the fun tropical diseases.

The problem isn't that sterilization will happen, but that ingested cursors impact all other species.

We need to modify the weather, not the animals, imo.
