Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, September 11, 2018

"Tim, get to work," my brother solemnly said over the phone. "It's going to get worse." I had received the call just as the first tower was struck, and we didn't know all that was yet to come. Like so many other Americans on September 11, 2001, I had simply been getting ready for another day, eating breakfast and reading the newspaper. As I jumped in the car and began driving downtown as fast as possible, I called my wife Colleen, who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant with our first child. I let her know that something was happening in Manhattan, I needed to be there, and I didn't know when I'd be home again. Next I called my buddy Jeff, who my wife and I had asked to be the godfather of our unborn child. I told him too that I was headed into the city – and added I had a bad feeling firemen were going to lose their lives. If something would happen to me, he would have to care for Colleen and his godchild.

I totally forgot what today was until I saw a bunch of firemen in their dress blues (on their way to the memorial) walking ahead of me on my way to work.

I did remember yesterday that it was the anniversary of the day in 2001 that Rumsfeld acknowledged that trillions were unaccounted for from the Pentagon budget, and that the plane that hit the Pentagon curiously hit the accounting and budget offices.

A day of Islamic terror, leading to the UK and the US accepting being rogue nations via secret prisons, torture, unchecked executive power, and the surveillance state.
Interestingly, one attempted shoe bomber with no one killed has led to shoe inspections at every US airport, but 30,000 plus handgun deaths a year has led to exactly zero legislation. I guess that means 9/11 also led to black money in PACs being sold as "speech."

Please, tel me again how the two major parties are exactly alike. I need a laugh.

Where's buffalo_bob to tell us how American flight #11 can be seen shooting rockets out of its nose just before impact?

And how the entire manifest of passengers and the crew of that same flight were seen crossing the border into Switzerland sometime after 09/11/2001?

And how it wasn't American flight #77 that flew into the Pentagon? Nope. That was a missile, too.

Of course, the whereabouts of those passengers and crew are a mystery. /snark

I'm not generally a conspiracy theorist but then there is PNAC. And then Bush sort of did use 9-11 as an excuse to invade Iraq. He did say he would be a "war time President" while he was still Gov. of Texas because "war time President have more power and he'd use that power to privatize Social Security which later did try to do. His father was having brunch with Bandar Bush when the attack went down. They did let all the Saudi Princes to fly out of the country while no other airplanes were allowed to fly and without any FBI questioning before they left. And we all know there were many, many other strage parts of the story. Then, in the end Bush and Cheney refused to testify at the 9-11 Commission under oath or seperately.

"Bob Graham on release of declassified 9/11 pages"

"Congress finally released the information Friday afternoon that has been banned from public view for 14 years. It is 28 pages of the 9/11 Investigation that has been classified and connects the dots the involvement of Saudi Arabia.

Two years ago, former Florida governor and U.S. Senator Bob Graham told 10 Investigates the American public will have a very different perception of 9/11 when the information is released.

Obviously, Bob Graham who headed up the congressional committee that investigated 9/11 is happy that these 28 pages have finally been released. He said it paints a complete picture of the involvement of people with ties to the Saudi Arabia, our so-called ally.

Graham, who had read the report during his role as chairman of the committee investigating 9/11, said it shows the hijackers had financial support from Saudis with strong ties to the Saudi Arabian government, the royal family, and even the Saudi ambassador to the United States.

Graham said he thinks the report should have the United States rethink it's relationship with Saudi Arabia."

9/11

The day we learned when a build gets hit from one side, it falls down on itself, demolition style. The day we saw tower seven collapse without sustaining any damage at all. The day a passenger plane evaporated after hitting the pentagon. The day a magic passport from one of the terrorist hijackers withstood the steel melting fires and land on top of all the rubble so it could immediately be found and used to identify to hijacker. The day Dick Cheney scrambled NORAD so they were unable to do their job and intercept the passenger planes. The day police officers and firefighters reported hearing and seeing explosions throughout the twin towers.

The day after all the gold stored under the twin towers was moved.

The week after brand new insurance policies were taken out on the towers.

The day where Americans collectively lost their minds, bought every American flag they could afford, and handed full control over to the federal government.

The event which created the Patriot Act and Homeland Security.

The event which started our perpetual war of terror upon the Middle East. Making it easier for us to needlessly invade Iraq, Libya and Syria. While drone bombing Yemen and Oman.

9/11 the worst day in American history, in my life time.

The article also states,

"Less than a teaspoon of dry anthrax, a little bit about this amount–this is just about the amount of a teaspoon–less than a teaspoon full of dry anthrax in an envelope shutdown the United States Senate in the fall of 2001."

To sum up, the statue is an artist rendition of Colin Powell holding a vile and making a statement about chemical weapons. I don't mean to mock you, but you make it easy.

This is hilarious. Even you liberals are paralyzed by your own fears. We're used to that kind of thing from the shallow neo-cons... Anyway, you are perfectly willing to believe the easy lie rather than the difficult (and complicated) truth.

But, let us not diminish the argumentary value of the false lie. It is VERY persuasive and compelling. Besides, what's a government to do? Our whole system is based on fossil fuels. If fossil fuels suddenly went away, it would be a partial-extinction level event. That is one persuasive effing argument.

Why can't we just say, 'hey, indigenous people, we need to take your oil...it's nothing personal...i'm sure you understand.... oh, and we will kill you if you try to stop us'.

I know what you're gonna say...you were gonna say, 'But it's a sin to kill...except...and it says this in the bible...if it is to protect your national security. However, it is a sin to kill for some other reason. The government says it's okay to kill in this instance...it is not just for oil...nope...it's about protecting our country.

You liberals are only one duck-step behind the neo-cons when it comes to this subject.

I remember 17 years ago on this day I was sitting at Golden Corral while some server was giving me a sob story about how she can't pay for health insurance on $2.11 an hour when the 2nd plane hit. We all knew the world changed that day. Honestly, I haven't tipped since. After bleeding the pen dry writing a 0 on the tip line, a bald eagle swooped down by the entrance and pooped down the back of a waitress out smoking a "cigarette"

If Operation Eagle Claw succeeded in rescuing the hostages ...

1. Carter is reelected

2. No Reaganism and no GOP military adventurism

3. More sane national fiscal policies during the 1980s (i.e. no deficit and credit spending)

4. Way more lower military profile in the Middle East in the succeeding decades resulting in ...

"I was in Israel when it happened..."

From NYC (UES at the time) but was in Lima, Peru, with my girlfriend (later wife), waiting on the director of a medical mission we were volunteering with to fly in from the US to meet us before we flew to the jungle site location on the Amazon. We were eating cereal and watching cartoons, The Incredible Hulk, El Hombre Incredible en Español, when the show was preempted by a news report. My Spanish was meh at best, and understanding television was even more difficult for me, so we watched with curiosity as they showed footage of a single building burning. The whole time time we were thinking, is this downtown Lima even though we couldn't be sure. It was then that my girlfriend recognized a word, gemela, twin, and the realization hit her. She said, "Hagbard, I think that's New York. WTF are you talking about I asked. She said, "they said "gemela" I think that means twin. I think that's the twin towers." Now she's really making no sense because there's only one building standing there, but I had to admit that the building looked right. I had an uneasy feeling in my stomach. They started to show footage of people jumping. That's when the second tower began to fall.

The next several hours were surreal. We could barely understand the news coming in, everyone we were with spoke less English than we spoke Spanish so getting details was frustratingly difficult. It wasn't until later that evening that I was finally able to get my family on the phone and finally get some kind of information, but even then, nobody was really sure what was going on. Were we at war? Was this just the first stage of an attack? Was it an invasion? We really had no idea. Within a couple hours they were already showing photos of Bin Laden. All I knew was that I wanted to go home. I never felt so helpless.

cont'd...

#85 | Posted by Hagbard_Celine at 2018-09-11 02:49 PM | Reply

... cont'd

Later that evening we went to a mall to get some ice cream and try to wrap our heads around what was happening. The waiter came up to us, and realizing we spoke English, figured it was a good time for him to practice his English with us. That's when things got crazy. He started asking us about what had happened. Then he says, and I'll never forget it, "how do you say... 'just deserts'?" We both looked at each other, thinking did this mother ____er just say what I think he said? That's when it finally occurred to him to ask us where we were from. "New York City" we told him. His jaw dropped, he went completely pale, and ran from the table. A couple minutes later a different waiter came by to bring us our ice cream, apologizing. The previous waiter thought we were Canadian (happens a lot on international travel because we are friendlier? than the average New York tourist I guess? I don't know.) To this day I can't believe I didn't wind up getting arrested for attacking that guy, but the shock left me paralyzed. I get the 'just deserts' argument; I'm not ignorant of things the US has done in the world, especially in central and South America. I can appreciate that argument, even though I don't agree with it, but it was WAY too ____ing soon to hear something like that. We didn't even know if we had family or friends missing or killed at that point. Doctor friends of ours later told us that they all rushed in to work to be able to help at the ER. Waiting for patients that never came.

The next several days were spent at the internet cafe, reading news from the US, while we waited for air travel to resume so the director could get into the country and we could be on our way to Iquitos. Wound up staying for another two months, finishing our volunteer agreement before we came home.

Here's something to know for those in the US. In most of the rest of the world, news programs showed footage of people jumping from the towers for months afterward. I learned that stopped pretty much immediately in the US. For that, consider yourselves lucky, because it was a nightmare having to watch that day after day on the Peruvian news.

I was in South Korea, about to go to bed. My wife called and told me to turn on the TV. I turned it on just in time to see the second plane hit.

An immediate alert was called. My barracks was on a base about one mile from Camp Red Cloud, where I worked. I loaded up my gear and began to run, with several other soldiers, to CRC. Along the way, the Korean civillians were lined up along the road, in a major Korean city, on their knees bowing saying "We are so sorry this happened", We are so sorry for you".

I sat in that bunker with then Maj Gen. Honore and the rest of the 2nd Infantry Division's staff for two weeks.

The exact point I was making in my original retort (#65).

Making a blanket statement...

"...but i absolutely believe that what the government says is not exactly the truth either" - #47 | Posted by ABlock at 2018-09-11 12:41 PM
...paints the whole thing with a single brush.

And, as your #88 acknowledges, that's simply not the case.

"The government always lies" is fertile ground for the Alex Jones crowd.

The "consider the information, consider the source, consider the history, consider the motives, then dividing by your own prejudices" crowd prefers to see things a little more nuanced.

The National Weather Service, an agency of the United States Federal Government, says that Hurricane Florence will hit the coast of North Carolina and/or South Carolina sometime later this week. They further say that there's expected to be wide-spread damage, and that those in low-lying areas should evacuate.
In this scenario, is the government telling the truth?

The sky should be littered with chemtrails as the craft scoot the population out.;]

You really love meteorology, but cannot seem to identify this one minor aspect of artificial causes for sheer up or down. Project Popeye was a concentration of decades of experimentation and that was employed to wipe out the Ho Chi Minh trail, then gone black.

Do you understand that there was a hurricane just offshore on 9/11. It crept up, sat just through the event like a backup cataclysm then drifted away. What people have witnessed are cars upside down, massive rusting and even cars stacked. What kind of phenomena produces all of those strange effects? I know you adore the Muslim terrorist fable enormously, particularly the miracle appearance of their identification found by a specific policeman in the NYC 9/11 rubble. That is a magic bullet, wouldn't you say? Did you ever bother to explain how the port authority and chief of police also claim to have escaped a collapse and climbed through the incredibly thick and clingy dust - to be interviewed in completely pristine condition and acting "weird". Is there in fact an effort to point fingers away from non-Muslim terrorists by those people in authority? But you believe the government weather services.

Your careless discount of Corbett Report because he explores the chemtrails issue is convenient considering how detailed and FACTUAL his information is. Watch the video I already linked, you doofus. I want to discuss the more serious content such as what ConVar found..

Follow the money. Who had the most to gain. Not OBL not the Taliban(Who were guests of honour at the Houston Texas energy meetings. in 1997) You can't have a war for natural resources without a pretext. Average Americans wouldn't go along with a resource war. They would however go to war against supposed people that attacked us. It was PNAC's plan for Christ sake.

Occam's Razor

So. The simplest explanation is what?

Saudi terrorists came to America. Learned how to fly a passenger plane. Took over four passenger planes, on the same day Cheney decided to scramble NORAD. The gold was moved coincidentally. The insurance policy increase was happenstance. The buildings collapsing inwards was chance. Building seven falling was going to happen regardless. The planes vanishing after impact was the way they're built. No dead bodies at the pentagon or in Pennsylvania was the will of God.

Where does Occam'sRazor come into play?

This isn't as simple as a baseball breaking your living room window.

This was a planned attack with a lot of variables.

"Now let's try building 7." - #107 | Posted by redlightrobot at 2018-09-11 04:41 PM

Okay:

WTC 7 was the first known instance of fire causing the total collapse of a tall building. Because the collapse of the WTC Towers damaged the city water main, the sprinkler system for the bottom half of the stories of WTC 7 didn't work. The uncontrolled fires caused thermal expansion of the steel beams on the lower floors, damaging the floor framing on many other floors. Eventually a girder on Floor 13 lost its connection to a critical interior column that provided support for the long floor spans on the east side of the building. The displaced girder and other fire damage caused Floor 13 to collapse, beginning a cascade of floor failures, which left the critical column unsupported over nine stories. When this critical column buckled, it led to a progression of structural failures up to the roofline. All the interior columns buckled and failed across the building width, and the exterior walls just came down. Factors contributing to the collapse were long-span floor systems, connections not designed for thermal effects, asymmetric floor framing, and/or composite floor systems.

source

And...
Gravity, fire, enormous structural damage from the WTC collapse .Emphasis because this fact is overlooked every single time by truthers. It's all in the NIST report.

The Deutsche Bank building on the opposite side (Liberty Street) only narrowly escaped a similar fate. In fact it was so badly damaged it was eventually demolished.

Why is this perfectly logical and reasonable explanation so difficult to comprehend?

source

And...

#109 | Posted by Hans at 2018-09-11 05:07 PM | Reply

3. Any detonation of explosives within WTC 7 would likely have been detected by seismographs monitoring ground vibration in the general area (see Assertion #4). To our knowledge, no such telltale "spike" or vibratory anomaly was recorded by any monitoring instrument.

4. Saying, "No airplane hit it" implies the structure suffered minimal effects from the planes crashing into the adjacent towers. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Video and photographs of the north tower collapse clearly depict substantial upper sections of the building falling outward and impacting WTC buildings 6 and 7. This was not a glancing blow from extraneous material, rather thousands of tons of steel girders falling directly into the building from hundreds of feet above. WTC 7 sustained significant impact damage to its southwest corner up to the 18-20 th floor, or a little less than halfway up the building. There was also significant damage to the building's south face, although dense smoke present in most photos hinders an exact assessment. Other photos depict several lower floors fully involved in a large fire that either began upon impact or shortly thereafter, and most experts point to the large stockpile of diesel fuel stored in the basement as the likely catalyst. Regardless of the fire's origin, these flames are clearly visible from all four sides of the structure. With most local firefighting equipment destroyed and the search for survivors being of primary concern, these intense fires were left to burn uncontrolled for more than six hours, further compromising the already badly damaged structure. Given these facts, any implication that WTC 7 was not substantially affected by the original plane crashes is not accurate.

5. Several demolition teams had reached Ground Zero by 3:00pm on 9/11, and these individuals witnessed the collapse of WTC 7 from within a few hundred feet of the event. We have spoken with several who possess extensive experience in explosive demolition, and all reported hearing or seeing nothing to indicate an explosive detonation precipitating the collapse. As one eyewitness told us, "We were all standing around helpless ... we knew full well it was going to collapse. Everyone there knew. i've contended from day 1 that the way the towers came down was this. you had elevator shafts (chimneys essentially) running from the subway to the top of the building. i'd think that'd give the jet fuel a real good draft. those buildings are built like a unibody automobile. they are extremely strong as long as they're not compromised. when everything above the wreck came down through the blown out section there was no way for it to stop. that thermite story i don't understand. i honestly believe there are things that the government doesn't tell us to prevent controversy that could escalate. if they'd released the zapruder film a week after kennedy was killed..there'd been riots

"Where does Occam'sRazor come into play?" - #106 | Posted by ClownShack at 2018-09-11 04:39 PM

But yes, 19 box cutter wielding terrorists did bring the two buildings down. People forget how lax travel security was prior to 9/11, so it's completely plausible that with years of training, these cowards were able to do this.

The planes did after all hit the building, exploded and burned at high temperatures. Those buildings may have been designed to sway some with wind or quakes, but they were basically 100+ 1000 ton concrete pancakes stacked. One or two fail, and dominos it is.

There is really zero evidence for an inside job. Visual evidence, as noted by humans, is demonstrably poor in terms of evidence. Tests have to be done, models built and run, facts collected and much more. There is also the fact of physics and gravity.

Is there a chance it was an inside job? Yes. In this universe and due to quantum fluctuations, nothing is 100%. There is a tiny calculable chance I will become the Queen of England, but the likelihood of this occurring within the lifespan of the universe is so close to zero as to conclude it is zero.

Understandable:

You gotta remember there was a lot of confusion and we didn't know if another plane was coming ... but I never heard explosions like demo charges. We knew with the damage to that building and how hot the fire was, that building was gonna go, so we just waited, and a little later it went."

I wonder why people question the Trump Administration. But are so eager to accept the official story about 9/11.

Perhaps it's because the alternative is much more frightening.

Yay, MEMEMEME!! I used to copy all my old posts so I would be able to see just that - hopefully, an evolution or some recognizable benefit to sharing in this neo-social media format.

My olde journals astonish me. Honestly, I have no idea where I was - inventing a language to describe language.

I've found a few and loose pieces of others, and at one point I began to rely on the computer to record the more complex library of data accumulating.

I used to write extremely small script and fit several pages of writing per front and back page. This translated into more of a sloppy indiscriminate archivist so it's inevitable that I'm going to experience something to challenge that new behavior. We all love our technician who can fix it - but many are physical and irreparable. It's failed hard drives. Even my goofy music is gone. Art, ideas, collections and studies. Lofty or lowly it was me.

So, I guess we all rely on peoples interest in even what they perceive as our failures, such as what you express, to archive important data, correlate and inform.

So please, do remember what matters and smear that all over the place whenever you want.

If only. That would be convenient, but it's obvious we're all more alike in regard to nostalification of our lives represented as data.

Speaking of which, ConVar was able to recover some of the hard drive information from the Marsh McClellon server room. Apparently there is a reason for that to have been suddenly made a matter of non-disclosable national security, regardless the obvious nature of doing so is admitting to secret massive financial transactions synchronized during the tower strikes. The evidence is verified, the cover-up authorized.

Yep. Endless possibilities

In my travels around the Internet I've read the following - and always very, very serious:

all three buildings were detonated
only WTC7 was detonated
the Mossad planted the explosives
the CIA planted the explosives
there were no hijackings
all of the people on all 4 planes are alive (and were last seen crossing the border from France to Switzerland)
it was missiles that hit WTC1 and 2 and the Pentagon
a missile was fired from the hijacked planes before hitting WTC 1 and 2
a particle-beam ray was used in Manhattan
it was a particle-beam weapon fired from the Israeli embassy that hit WTC1 and 2
nuclear weapons were used in lower Manhattan on 09/11/2001
Yep. Endless possibilities.

President Donald Trump has once again sparked outrage on social media, this time by tweeting a year-old photo of himself and the White House staff honoring the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Though the picture is from last year, it leads people to believe it was taken on Tuesday.

The particle-beam ray stories are my second favorite loony-tunes.

My favorite are the "nuclear weapons were used in lower Manhattan" stories.

I'm just surprised that no one has come up with the penultimate 9/11 conspiracy:

The CIA and Mossad planted the explosives that the chemtrail spewing drone jet planes - painted to look like commercial airliners - detonated with the laser-guided, nuclear-tipped missiles fired from their nose, with an assist from the particle-beam weapons fired from the Israeli embassy, all so the theft of the gold could be hidden and the over-priced property insurance paid to the Jewish owner. Meanwhile, all the passengers and crew members are stored in hibernation beneath the smokestacks on the moon (they were ferried out of the USA on the planes that supposedly carried the Saudis, then launched to the moon from the secret lair of Hugo Drax in the Brazilian jungle).
I think that covers just about everything.

With dozens of hijacked planes NORAD kept it's simulation on until 10:12a. That's nine minutes after the second plane strike.

You are such a smart person, it's as if you don't require learning about the factual events whatsoever.

It's important to scour every aspect of the events - yes, it's complicated BY DESIGN.

Meyers claims that NORAD was only lookout "outward" is what caused the "30 seconds delay". Which ended up with the only scrambled F15's WE SENT AFTER A PHANTOM AMERICAN 11 WHICH ALREADY STRUCK THE TOWERS.

What some experts have called "the most comprehensive forensic investigation in U.S. history" ended Nov. 16 with the identification of 184 of the 189 who died in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon.

Many of the casualties were badly burned and difficult to identify, an official said. Of the 189 killed, 125 worked at the Pentagon and 64 were passengers on American Airlines Flight 77. Only one of those who died made it to the hospital. The rest were killed on site, and for some, only pieces of tissue could be found.

It's great to hear that you finally caught on to the Oswald conspiracy. He actually was specially trained in linguistics and intelligence, infiltrated the CIA's secret Alpha44 operation to instigate a war with Cuba. Dulles realized that Oswald was Hoovers top spy and framed him for the assassination of JFK.

What is extremely chilling to me is that the secret service modified the head wound, possibly while en route to the farced military medical examination whereby the "doctor" burned his notes.

Hey, what does the forensics on the ground determine? That the plane vaporized? And why no identifiable body parts?

The alleged hijacker Saeed Al Ghamdi left his passport and this pristine bandanna on the scene.

It's simply astonishing how well-made these Saudi passports are. We need to make buildings and planes from this technology.

9/11 Commission Report stated, "During the course of the morning, there were multiple erroneous reports of hijacked aircraft." [13] Defense Department spokeswoman Victoria Clarke, who was in the Pentagon during the attacks and for most of the rest of September 11, has recalled: "There were lots of false signals out there. There were false hijack squawks, and a great part of the challenge was sorting through what was a legitimate threat and what wasn't." [14] Larry Arnold has said, "By the end of the day, we had 21 aircraft identified as possible hijackings." "The rest were killed on site"? Not died on impact. But killed on site. Interesting choice of words.

"Only pieces of tissues could be found"? Not body parts? "Pieces of tissue". There have been plane crashed throughout history. There are usually corpses. And sometimes. There are survivors.

I know several firefighters and police officers that worked on the scene both on the day of and the weeks and months following the event and I can tell you that when a building collapses like that, with steel mangled, concrete pulverized, and glass shattered, that human bodies were cut into ribbons, and tiny little pieces of human tissue were found all over the place. Often being carried away by birds.

"Wow. So this is what 9/11 debate is gonna be like every year from now on? At least Osama Bin Laden is STILL DEAD. Thanks Obama! 🙏" - #157 | Posted by donnerboy at 2018-09-12 10:40 PM

It has been that way since I first started reading and participating in on-line messaging boards (the Retort, Disqus, etc.). And every year the 9/11 so-called "truthers" were just so sure that the "truth" was just around the corner, the "truth" that would prove them "right." Of course, that's never happened.

I agree with this:

We live in a universe of patterns. Once a pattern is established, the burden of proof is on people who claim the pattern does not hold. When some philosopher of science points out that we cannot prove that the sun will rise tomorrow, I say he's absolutely right. There is no way to prove axiomatically that the sun will rise tomorrow, and nobody in science cares in the slightest. When the sun doesn't rise as scheduled, call me. Until then I absolutely refuse to waste time worrying about it. When Immanuel Velikovsky claimed the planets underwent wild disturbances in their orbits, the burden of proof was on him to show that it happened. The burden was not on scientists to show it didn't.

In the case of 9-11, we have planes hitting the World Trade Center and the buildings failing at precisely the level of impact. The observational evidence clearly shows a cause and effect relationship.

Meanwhile, the 9-11 so-called "truthers" keep on coming up with things I can't believe any toilet-trained human being would be dumb enough to say.

There were false hijack squawks, and a great part of the challenge was sorting through what was a legitimate threat and what wasn't." [14] Larry Arnold has said, "By the end of the day, we had 21 aircraft identified as possible hijackings." [15] Robert Marr recalled, "At one time I was told that across the nation there were some 29 different reports of hijackings." [16]

I find the comments of the 9/11 so-called "truthers" funny, but they enter the realm of parody when they cite their "facts," linking to Web sites and YouTube videos to "prove" their "position." It is almost like a creationist quoting scripture to both "prove" creationism and to somehow disprove evolution.

Exactly like 9/11 so-called "truthers," anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers and creationists, too, have lots of Web sites filled with content written by charlatans and nutjobs who also have impressive-sounding credentials. And they, too, claim that their Web sites and, hence, their "theories," are "backed by real science."

With the exceptions noted in the above paragraph, the science behind vaccinations, climate change and evolution is understood and accepted as real science by the overwhelming majority of the scientific community. I find it highly amusing that "truthers" never wonder why, if their science was so "real," it, too, doesn't have the same overwhelming acceptance.

9/11 so-called "truthers," like their kindred spirits in anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers and creationsists, never seem to catch on to the fact that they get all of their "facts" from the exact same sources. They're so ensconced in their own special epistemic closure that they just don't see the ---------- relationship they have with their "facts" ... and each other. When one says "nanothermite," the rest nod in agreement, even if they have no idea what that is, and the fact that no evidence of "nanothermite" was ever found. They also seem to be willing to give a pass to fellow so-called truthers who are proponents of the most outlandish of the conspiracy theories surrounding the events of 09/11/2001, such as the towers were brought down by particle-beam weapons from space, or that nuclear devices were used that day.

There is one other commonality between the 9/11 so-called "truthers" and the anti-vaxxers, the climate change deniers and the creationists (and, for that matter, the birthers, the Benghazi-gate drum beaters, the religious right, the anti-choicers, the ----------, even the Sarah Palin worshipers):

An absolute, evangelical certainty of their truth... whatever their fetal minds think is the truth.

They think that it is their job to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to everyone. It is almost like they think that if they just post one more Web site link (backed by their "real science," natch), or post just one more link to a YouTube video (starring their favorite nutjob with the impressive-sounding credentials, set to an oh-so serious sound track), then the heathen heretics will finally "see the light."

Hallelujah!

Meanwhile, the 9-11 so-called "truthers" keep on coming up with things I can't believe any toilet-trained human being would be dumb enough to say.

Found this on the Internet:

erroneous (er·ro·ne·ous) adjective wrong; incorrect
As in "...there were multiple wrong; incorrect reports of hijacked aircraft."

Just one more reason why we laugh out loud.

I'm not going to Jesuspalm that, but instead agree that is precisely evidence of a coordinated effort to at least thwart NORAD COMMUNICATING WITH FAA. They almost shoot down that Korean flight, another pilot landed with blood covering his face, etc.

No offense, but apparently we are both pointing to the same data as proof for either interpretation. I'm astonished our conversation felt rather trollish because I generally expect more than monkey dismissal. This event included several operations in coordination. There is only one way that could happen, the way that it happened. It's an ugly affair to confront, regardless intellectual discussion. It means our government and military coordinated attacks it's own citizens.

Look, I deliberately refrain from the citation method until appropriate or necessary and prefer to open a dialogue first. Biblical interpretation has a place in this discussion, I was never intentionally dismissing that, maybe subconsciously I ignored that direction because it's among my weakest topics.

It's important that we do know about the Muslim community at large and also what are radical fundamentalists at large.

I do see radicals marching, first thrusting and the noise pollution makes for a "festival" of sorts, calling out more and more interactions. While that is not progressing legislative agendas so much as giving facial recognition software (or robotparanoia) personal information to compile, the videos are fascinating and not what news or police reports.

Proud Boys do not seem to be a problem for anyone except Antifa. That isn't really expressed at any of the newscasts.

On topic: regarding NIST - in order for me to argue anything Federally officiated I need to produce a bevy of eyewitness, emergency responders, industrial professionals in general - forensics, metalurgists, specialists and last but not least scientific reasoning for any doubt being capable of such lofty comparison. Rather than re-invent the circle respected investigators compile these for us. You obviously disagree with the narrative Corbett includes, but his data is:

irrefutable (ĭ-rĕfˈyə-tə-bəl, ĭrˌĭ-fyo͞oˈ-)
adj. Impossible to refute or disprove
; incontrovertible: irrefutable arguments; irrefutable evidence of guilt.
from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 4th Edition

So, while scientific interpretations and theory are fine, closely examining the evidence available means forensics prior to NIST publications. I also find the visual data is important, to determined who might want to pull off such a terrible loss of life.

47 box columns had to simultaneously collapse each floor from fire, dude. Structurally, pancaking is impossible. IMPOSSIBLE.

The cores evaporate on video, but not in the NIST report.

The MASCAL simulations performed 2000 were all about planes hitting high value targets. BushCo continually states that "nobody could have imagined.."
