Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

A strange thing has happened to men over the past few decades: We've become increasingly infertile, so much so that within a generation we may lose the ability to reproduce entirely. What's causing this mysterious drop in sperm counts -- and is there any way to reverse it before it's too late?

It's almost certainly the myriad of chemicals our ------- is exposed to. But look at the positive side to this given our current family law construct. Pure pleasure, no responsibility, less crowding, less pollution, this will slowly lower the cost of living. Perfect.

With all the emphasis on protecting the ovum, think of the BILLIONS of spermatozoa that perish flagellating futilely in tissues every day.

The national sperm count is not down but measured in the wrong place.

My theory - it's either corporate poison in our food supply, or side effects of our electronic lifestyles.

Here's a real question - if we discover that EMF from our TV's, computers, phones, etc are killing sperm, would people choose high tech toys over the ability to reproduce? I think many would.

You simply modify the rig that Spinal Tap's Derek Smalls wore in his trousers through the airport to enhance his 'power zone' (zuchini wrapped in foil, easily modded to cover and deflect bad energy over a larger area. Will activate metal detectors).

Another possible cause would be the widespread use of marijuana, which harms sperm production.

I would presume alcohol would be the primary depressant suspected, but for decades I've heard anecdotally that marijuana can significantly change male fertility.
