Switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy is an important and necessary step towards averting climate change. However, in our efforts to go green, we also need to be mindful of other consequences, both intended and unintended -- and that includes how a mass deployment of renewable technology might affect its surrounding climate.

Yeah going green might have some side effects.

So let's not do it and stick with fossil fuels, which DEFINITELY have MASSIVE and DISASTROUS side effects.

I don't understand why the "Second Nile Project" (aka "Mubarak's pyramid") didn't work. How can you possibly screw up digging an ordinary irrigation ditch?!

#7 I'm thinking wrong location. There are five cataracts on the Nile. Why not divert from above the top one? Also, after Anwar Egypt could have been the worlds leading exporter in crocodile meat and boots....
