Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, September 07, 2018

White House officials reached out to a noted Yale University psychiatrist last fall out of concern over President Trump's increasingly erratic behavior. Dr. Bandy Lee, who edited the best-selling book "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President," told the Daily News Thursday the staffers contacted her because the President was "scaring" them.

But lawmakers on Capitol Hill weren't the only ones alarmed by the President's erratic behavior, his troubling tweets or his temper.

A pair of West Wing representatives contacted her two separate times on the same day because they believed the President was "unraveling."

The stable genius is actually an erratic dotard.

It was obvious during the election that Trump is narcissistic, abusive and unstable. It was also obvious that he is a rageaholic and pathological liar, who is addicted to drama, and that GOP officials and voters are his steadfast co-dependents.

This thread is about Trump's psychiatrist, I only hope that the irresponsible Republicans who won't do anything to prevent a disaster if he is even half as crazy as it appears won't have to bear the guilt that will be theirs if he does something really insane....oh wait....he already has. Bear the guilt you rightly deserve fools. We tried to warn you but your hatred for liberals, who have given you the ability to live a middle class lifestyle, was stronger than your love of country.

The rise of TV dinners can be linked to the rise of American obesity. Because familias are too lazy to get up and walk over to the dinner table, or cook, or wash dishes, so they become couch potatoes while eating couch potatoes .

Maybe, but I see that as being insignificant. What is significant is the massive increase in consumption of sugary drinks. When you go out to eat, what do you think most people drink? What is mostly available at restaurants?

Sugary drinks. Rise in obesity has matched the increase in sugary drink consumption nationally.

Review confirms link between sugary drinks and obesity

@#24 ... No it's not. It's about a leftwing quack who violates his quack profession's code of ethics and makes long-distance diagnoses. ...

From the cited article:

...Dr Bandy Lee briefed a dozen lawmakers from the House and Senate last December about Trump's fitness to be President. But lawmakers on Capitol Hill weren't the only ones alarmed by the President's erratic behavior, his troubling tweets or his temper....

A pair of West Wing representatives contacted her two separate times on the same day because they believed the President was "unraveling."...

I'm not seeing any "remote diagnosis" in those quotes. Just local Congress critters and White House people asking questions.

I'm thinking that, instead of trying to disparage the psychiatry profession, maybe you should be asking a question more along the lines of:

Why are those who are around Pres Trump asking Dr Bandy X. Lee, a psychiatrist with Yale University, about Pres Trump's mental fitness?

Without knowing what she told the Congress critters, how do you know it was a diagnosis? She could have just told them of her observations of his behavior. I do not see anything in what you quoted that indicates she provided a formal diagnosis.

Why are those who are around Pres Trump asking Dr Bandy X. Lee, a psychiatrist with Yale University, about Pres Trump's mental fitness?

And you've mentioned your complete disdain for some Constitutional limits yourself in the past. So why do you hate America, Nulli?

Both the changes in diet and and exercise lifestyles are linked to it. In addition with more garbage food with preservatives and sweeteners added, people are sitting around more, eating fast food in front of their TVs and computers, using remote and wireless controls, having A/C on 24/7, driving or getting a ride everywhere instead of walking places less than a mile like they used to.

Crap food, filled with salt, fat, sugar - killing us...
And yes, Trump is the political equivalent of those engineered "foods."
Demagoguery. Xenophobia. Believe what you feel, not what's true.
You can find your Trump TV on 24/7 telling you what you want to hear, in the comfort of your own home.

This is the age in which we live.
But, as with food, we can make smart political choices. If we have enough discipline and self-awareness.
