Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

When President Donald Trump nominates a justice to the Supreme Court on Monday night, he will be carrying out the agenda of a small, secretive network of extremely conservative Catholic activists already responsible for placing three justices (Alito, Roberts, and Gorsuch) on the high court. And yet few people know who they are -- until now.

It's called the Daily Beast because it will require an entire day to read thoroughly.:]

"He figured out twenty years ago that conservatives had lost the culture war. Abortion, gay rights, contraception-conservatives didn't have a chance if public opinion prevailed. So they needed to stack the courts."

Are the Federalist Society and all Catholic organizations funding alt-right extremists? Don't they really represent an actual "national security" risk? Why do they get tax exemption? To my knowledge Catholic organizations "legally" refuse to allow gay couples to adopt. Whom do they serve?

Back to the third page.. it reaches into Catholic history that I've heard of. They might be the original mob influence after all.

So, that history of conspiracy has no merit on how Kavanaugh, or any Federalist Society pick might vote? Isn't there a history of blocking progressive outcomes? His entire motive is to benefit society, or to install anti-societal judgments?

Regardless how you ignore it I think that you are completely aware of how regressive these organizations have always been, how entrenched politically, financially and legally, and the extreme lows to which they will continually sink in desperation to obtain power.

What are the chances that the good Catholic "Justice" Kavanaugh is in fact lying to everyone during the hearings and will attempt to erode abortion rights? No low is too far for Brett, imo. There are a lot of people riding on his installment. Cretinous, bigoted anti-progressive "people".

Sen. Durbin's Attack on the Federalist Society at the Kavanaugh Hearing Is Silly.

Listen to the positive views of these left-of-center lawyers about this 65,000-member organization:

"For over a decade, I have been privileged to be involved in Federalist Society events, and it's a really interesting thing that they have seen fit to invite me even though I generally don't think like them on a lot of things, and the quality of the speakers and the free-for-all discussion is unparalleled, so it's really been a privilege." -- Neal Katyal, Acting Solicitor General (Obama Administration).

"I think one thing your organization has definitely done is to contribute to free speech, free debate, and most importantly, public understanding of, awareness of, and appreciation of the Constitution. So that's a marvelous contribution, and ... in a way I must say I'm jealous at how the Federalist has thrived a law schools." -- Nadine Strossen, Professor of Law, New York Law School & Former President, American Civil Liberties Union.

"[T]he Federalist Society has brought to campus the commitment to real, honest, vigorous, and open discussion. It is a result of the works of the Federalist Society to create a wonderful environment for discussing social, political, legal and constitutional issues." -- Paul Brest, Professor of Law & Former Dean, Stanford Law School.

My Senators are Cornyn and Cruz. I voted for neither. Cornyn because he's a former judge. I never vote for former judges seeking a legislative office. Cruz because he wears his religion on his sleave.

So, you read the positive views of the left center lawyers but not the article thus missing the point.

Does anyone disagree with this?
Et_Al's glowing review of the Federalist Society is properly read as a ringing endorsement of their stack the courts strategy.
