Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Frank Rich: This weekend, Donald Trump changed his story once again about the infamous June 2016 meeting with Russians at Trump Tower, tweeting that its purpose was in fact to "get information" on Hillary Clinton. What does he get out of his continued potentially self-incriminating tweets? A very good question. Part of me wonders if our president gets some kind of psycho-sexual thrill out of his repeated use of Twitter as a vehicle for reckless self-incrimination now that Playboy is no longer minting new Playmates for him to prey upon.

now that Playboy is no longer minting new Playmates for him to prey upon.

Great line.

Trump is a classic narcissist, he can do no wrong and it always has to be about him until the ----- hits the fan, then it is everyone else's fault.

My opinion is that he's just not smart enough to keep his mouth shut.

He doesn't need to keep his mouth shut, he's got the power and he's going to destroy the rule of law that reins in the power. We are in a Constitutional crisis right now, Trump is trying to become an American Putin. Either you recognize that fact or we will become poor, powerless, former citizens subject to the whims of our dictator. Trump supporters are the idiots he needs to support his coup. I hate them all. They are empowering a dictator but they are too stupid to even understand what they are doing. Trump feeds on stupidity.

Stupidity is the problem Israel had with George W. regarding the Iraq War. (I recall William Kristol saying "We just needed somebody a little smarter.)

Stupidity will be the same problem Putin has with Donald Trump.

Both of these men surrounded themselves with all the sycophants they could ever want to complete their mission and it didn't work because they both had one thing in common ~ too stupid to get out of their own way.

This isn't the first time that a foreign power has infiltrated the White House with a "plant" that allowed them to control American foreign policy. In my lifetime, it's been tried twice ~ first Israel and now Russia. Both made the same mistake. They picked the two dumbest people they could find to spearhead the mission.

Trump is cracking as we speak. I doubt Trump will ever be charged with Obstruction of Justice but it's a juicy tidbit to keep him nervous nonetheless (and it's working). I believe the final straw will come when Trump has to make a choice between "the mission" (Putin) and his son. Somebody is going down but the jury is still out on who.

Either way, this problem is barreling headlong to a finale. Wait for it. When the last shoe drops on Junior (with an unindicted co-conspirator) the era of Trump is over and America wins.

Then it will be Putin's turn to say "I just needed somebody a little smarter."

So keep your chin up, girl. There are greater forces than you and me working on this.

It would be ASTOUNDING if when Trump is hauled into court or for senate impeachment his tweets are not synced to a timeline of events and presented as a major piece of evidence.

Interesting take on it Twin, you make good sense. I hadn't considered Israel being behind Bush and the Iraq invasion before but that does make sense because, If my memory serves Hussein had fired Scuds into Israel and offered money to terrorists who attacked Israel.

It was Israel who was begging every president right up to Obama to do their dirty work for them. GW finally answered the call. To put it in a nutshell he wanted to be a "war president" and Cheney wanted the oil.

Neither one of them go what they wanted but they burned up a lot of money and killed a lot of people trying.

I think GW might be haunted by it to this day. Cheney ~ meh, to him it was just the cost of doing business.

Now we have another idiot at the helm who wants to be a dictator (like Putin) and is stumbling over his own two left feet trying.

Trump hasn't really gotten to the point yet where he murders his opposition (like Putin) but I guarantee you it's crossed his mind a few times. There might be some tiny grain of rational fear of getting caught that makes him think twice but I think it's shrinking at a steady rate as desperation takes control.
