Police in Sag Harbor, New York, arrested and charged NASCAR chairman Brian France with driving under the influence Sunday evening. Officers in the high-priced Hamptons hamlet say France blew through a stop sign in his 2017 Lexus at 7:30, prompting a traffic stop. France was determined to be in "an intoxicated condition" and arrested.

Well this could end up being one of the more expensive DUI's in recent memory. And he really thought dropping DJT's name would get him off without an arrest? Perfect example of the expectation of rich/connected white male privilege in action.

Maybe next time he should try name-dropping Cuomo instead....

I'd rather do the jail time than mention that odious name. 😬

One of the NASCAR Bush brothers tried name dropping out in Los Angeles when he got stopped for speeding a few years ago.

The name he dropped was his own. All in a huff he said to the police officer "do you know who I am?"

It didn't work then either.

Did they pull him over because he was only making left turns?

No, I think he was on a "road" course.

Probably shouldn't have that big BUSCH decal on his hood.

At first I thought, big deal. It's a DUI. It happens. People make mistakes. They think they are okay to drive but are over the limit.

Then I saw he was twice the legal limit...

At least he was driving a Lexus...imagine if he'd been driving on the track in this condition.
