Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, August 02, 2018

With many children have yet to be unified with their parents, Ivanka Trump broke her silence on family separations at the US-Mexico border, saying Thursday that the news "was a low point" during her time in the White House. "That was a low point for me as well," she said Thursday, speaking at an Axios Newsmakers conversation on workforce development at the Newseum. "I felt very strongly about that and I am very vehemently against family separation and the separation of parents and children so I would agree with that sentiment. Immigration is incredibly complex as a topic. Illegal immigration is incredibly complicated."

Trump is probably quite upset with his daughter right now. She should have spoken up sooner though.

Clearly an enabler.

Ivanka also said she doesn't think the press is the enemy of the people. Had a chuckle about it too.

Drain Ivanka with the rest of the swamp! #Qanon #Soros

Trump is the enabler - the policy of family separation is all Pence and Sessions, aka THE "CHRISTIANS". Trump may actually own a bible - a gift, undoubtedly.

It really must be dangerous to be so close to such a hideous collection of power-hungry fundamentalists.

Red every freak'n mainline Church in America was outraged by Trump's immigration madness and openly opposed it.

There is also this headline today -- "Ivanka Trump says she does not agree that the news media are "the enemy of the people," breaking with one of President Donald Trump's frequent attacks on the press."

Trouble in paradise perhaps...

Poor baby.

"Immigration is incredibly complex as a topic. Illegal immigration is incredibly complicated."

Says she's against separation but then follows with this veiled excuse-making. She's got about as much substance as her father.

Why are illegal aliens, committing an arrestable misdemeanor, supposed to be given preferential treatment that U.S. citizens don't get? If they're caught crossing the border, they've committed child abuse. Once they enter the blistering Sonoran desert, they're putting their children at grave risk. All those skeletons they find every year aren't all adults.

Separating and destroying families is evil, as is anyone who makes excuses for it.

SEPARATING is child abuse; child abuse to your taste.

Um, where'd you learn to have such taste?
Wasn't Sunday school.

Who knew immigration could be so complicated!

Anyone with half a brain.

"Once they enter the blistering Sonoran desert, they're putting their children at grave risk."

You're one of those guys who goes out and dumps the water, right?

Out of your extreme concern for the children...

I understand this will mean absolutely nothing to you at all, but the kids arrested in the lower Rio Grande Valley (McAllen) in Texas didn't have to travel any desert at a with their parents. The area is intensively cultivated and highly populated.

So, no child abuse as you define it at all. ALL the child abuse on your side, on your individual head.

So sleep well tonight, and learn some freaking geography

Ignore the point, obfuscate zed, typical. Snoofy, you're just being ridiculous, or purposely over the top as is your want.

"Snoofy, you're just being ridiculous, or purposely over the top as is your want."

Yeah, well, so are you when you call refugees illegal immigrants.

Womp womp.

Now you speak up, Ivanka?

Well. Midterms are coming up. And she's the only one left to do damage control.

Was it a low point when Ivanka's mom had her hair separated from her scalp while the dotard was raping her?

#18 I vote for Jim Acosta to ask this at the next press conference.

Willowby is the voice of the willingly ignorant, the willing stupid, the immoral preachers of morality. In other words a piece of crap. Those children and their parents didn't break any law by coming here and asking for asylum and Willowby commits a crime against humanity, according to the UN and American treaties, when he claims they are just illegal immigrants. -- Willoby, hope you have a terrible day. And I also wish whoever pays you to be here the same. Sorry, I just have a hard time believing anyone would come here just to express hate for free. If you do, you're actually more pathetic than if you got paid to be you.

#20 | Posted by danni at 2018-08-03 06:55 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Yep--a low point.

Jews like Ivanka know a lot about 'low points' and family separation, like in the 1940's under some National Socialist guy. What was his name? Don't know, but he has some 'good people' remembering his works nowadays, and Ivanka's dad thinks a lot of them...

#21 | Posted by catdog at 2018-08-03 08:23 AM | Reply

Willoby is incapable of understanding the concept of asylum. The MS Saint Louis would be a good study guide to educate yourself stupid.

Damn, WILLOWBY. You're the one who brought up borders and deserts. I'm the one who taught you the border isn't always empty desert. You should be grateful.

But you've never been grateful to anyone who taught you the difference between illegal immigrants and asylum seekers.

And you've never been grateful to anyone teaching that destroying families is child abuse.

So I guess it's just me again being hopeful, the way we liberals tend to do.

"Was it a low point when Ivanka's mom had her hair separated from her scalp while the dotard was raping her?"

He wasn't raping her.

He was forcibly sexually penetrating her against her will and without her consent.

Because they were married, this was not considered rape under New Jersey law at the time.

It would be considered rape now, but it wasn't legally possible to rape your wife in New Jersey as recently as 1992 or whenever.

Whoever thought it would be a good idea to torture completely innocent victims/families and kidnap and ABUSE their children by CHANGING the border procedures is a POS criminal white man.

And now that person(s) has committed murders by proxy.

Try reading this?

Those responsible for implementing the procedural change(s) must be identified without question for LATER PROSECUTION.

CRUEL RACIST COWARDICE in the name of our law (and St. Peter) cannot go without consequence. FULL STOP

I'm having a difficult time deciding if Trump is worse than George W. Bush or not. Bush caused more deaths of American soldiers and 1,000,000 people in Iraq so he probably is worse but he didn't intentionally break up families. Hard to decide.

#28 | Posted by danni at 2018-08-03 04:30 PM | Reply

Bush struck me as somewhat naive and thoughtless. Although the number of deaths caused by Bush's actions greatly exceeds Trump's count, so far, Trump appears to be intentionally wicked. If anyone in the Bush administration was at the Trump level of pure wickedness it would be Dick Cheney.

#29 | Posted by dibblda at 2018-08-03 05:49 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 2

If we go to war, for sure Trump will cause mass casualties on a Bush level.

How is the truth 'excuse-making'?

Or, perhaps you'd like to explain, in detail please, how these policies are NOT complicated?

trump is going to demand ---- from her for this.

#32 | Posted by Tor at 2018-08-03 06:01 PM | Reply

"How is the truth 'excuse-making'?"

LOL.

Immigration might be complicated, but a policy of 100% forced separation of migrant children from their parents is both simple and evil.
