Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, July 15, 2018

The Federal Election Commission has issued a rare unanimous decision against Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). The agency has found that Cruz violated federal election law in his campaign for Senate in 2012. The FEC determined that Cruz improperly handled $1.1 million in campaign loans from Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. The Senator claimed it was his own money that fueled his campaign, and not that of either investment bank. ... Cruz put about $300,000 of his own money into the campaign and then concealed bank loans of more than $1 million.

Federal election law allows candidates to provide an unlimited number of their own resources to their campaigns when properly disclosed. During a rather tough re-election battle, Cruz boasted that his commitment led him to liquidate his personal assets to fund his campaign.

Auditors examining Cruz's accounts found his personal contribution far exceeded the value of the assets he had sold. ...

A spokesperson for the Cruz campaign dismissed the crimes as an "inadvertent" mistake.

The FEC has not yet revealed what type of penalty will be imposed on Cruz for his flagrant violation of U.S. election laws

"Cruz put about $300,000 of his own money into the campaign and then concealed bank loans of more than $1 million"

There's never been a dime's worth of difference between sociopath Cruz and sociopath Trump.

I'm sure Cruz would claim the same thing if President HRC was doing it.

He'll never resign but there's a decent change he could get beat by Beto.

We can sure hope for that happy outcome, but it's not likely. Texans would vote for the devil incarnate (AKA Ted Cruz) if he had an R after his name. Much has been made of Beto raising more money that Cruz but that's probably because Cruz doesn't think he needs more. He could place one call to the Koch brothers and get any amount he wanted.

...Cruz violated federal election law...

When most folks violate the law they're arrested. Why hasn't Cruz been arrested? I doubt he ever will.

One million dollars in secret money from Goldman Sachs. Yeah. Cruz is a man of the people. What kind of sucker votes for Cruz KNOWING he is this type of POS?

Come on folks, I remember the HRC "Lock Her Up" chant. Where's the "Lock Him Up" chant? He has been caught red handed and lied about it.

Cruz response, "ooo, a million dollars, oops" - a symptom of far too much money going into our elections or Canadian Ted Cruz taking advantage of his current position of power, trust and authority to cheat.

Why hasn't Cruz been arrested?
#6 | Posted by TFDNihilist

Because he's an R and they claim to be above the law. And so far they're getting away with it.

Isn't that what they did when the elected Cruz and Trump?

Amazing. The comments are just amazing. Maybe someone can help me understand the logic. It has already been proven that Hillary did illegal things to win the primary over Bernie. Something that both sides should have been completely up in arms about and protested. Instead, they came up with a story about how Trump is colluding with Russia with no proof whatsoever other than the two did business together, which isn't illegal and wasn't shocking AT ALL. But now a guy is proven to have done something illegal which basically did absolutely nothing to anyone else and only afforded him more luxuries in his own campaign, and Dems want to demonize him?

So, who thinks what Cruz did was worse than Hillary? If so, why? And, if you feel as if Ted needs to be jailed or incur some form of punishment, do you believe Hillary should as well? If not, why?

I can almost hear you laugh at your own genius.

Step 1. Decide on an outcome (HRC or Obama or Liberals are always the outcome)
Step 2. Make up a whataboutism
Step 3. Insert fake notions into your whataboutism
Step 4. Post.

So? What if they do? When someone commits murder or robs a bank, do the police do a comparison of past crimes before they decide to arrest them?

Thank you Comrade, for your irrelevant post. I'm sure your attempt at distracting from the fact that Cruz is a criminal will earn you many Rubles.
