It may be a good idea for President Trump to not turn up the radio during his trip to Britain in the coming days. A social media campaign is pushing fellow Brits to buy Green Day's 2004 smash hit "American Idiot" before his visit Friday ... The song was written in 2003 when former President George W. Bush was in office, but this campaign appears intent on making the jam about the current president ... With only a few days left, according to the Official Charts Company, "American Idiot" skyrocketed all the way to No. 18 this week in the Britain It's also hit No. 1 on Amazon's best-seller list.

I like Green Day, my favorite jam being 'Brain Stew' ...

The Brits always know how to throw down when they're pissed off about something.

I never hear or see America media ask why people are pissed off about Trump.

Instead the media focuses on "civility", "incivility" and whether it's effective for people confront Trump's administration in public or saying out loud F Trump.

Since the country is so deeply divided with half the country leaning right and the other half leaning left, the media needs to step back from Trump and look at the overall big picture landscape of our lifetimes and assess ...

Since 1950 Democrats have had presidents Truman, JFK, LBJ, Carter, Clinton, Obama ... and there's an argument to be made that given their strengths and weaknesses they at least were bright smart people that was obvious to the eyeball test.

And since 1950 Republicans had presidents Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, Old Man Bush, Dubya, Trump ... given their strengths and weaknesses we've been trending downward from WWII hero Ike to Tricky Dick to 'Bedtime for Bonzo' to The Apprentice.

I think liberals would be okay with Republican presidents so long as they're dignified and moderate ... I also think that conservatives are NOT okay with Democratic presidents because, well, why?

The media needs to start asking why instead of just focusing on the BS.

No way.

George W Bush fit that description and he was despised by the left. I get that Iraq was a big part of that, however the hatred was visceral and at times irrational.

George W Bush was a moderate? The guy that tried to legalize torture and wiretapping, then lied us into a war to try and best his daddys nemesis. was. dignified. and. moderate...

You have monster truck jumped the shark.

He wasn't called Dubya because he had obvious atom-splitting capability between the ears that everyone could see, he was called Dubya because he came across as Green Day's song at the top of this thread.

And liberals weren't that impressed with former Hollywood actor Ronald Reagan, either.

And now we have Trump ... there's a pattern here, and half the country that leans left is obviously sick and tired of having all their senses pummeled by these intellectually challenged Republican presidents.

The liberal Gore Vidal was particularly incensed with George W. Bush as president, calling him an outright fool ... and Vidal was also critical of JFK, so what I'm saying isn't just basic level tribalism ... something more is going on.

#4 The foreigners I know feel sorry for Americans who don't support Trump and disgust at his supporters.
Respect is gone, replaced with pity or hate. SAD!

Yeah, I don't understand how lefties can be so hateful and irrational. Just because GW Bush sent thousands of Americans to their deaths for no good reason and turned Iraq into a terrorist hellhole for three trillion dollars. Lighten up, libbies!

London obviously loves him. So much Love. Yuuuuge Love.

They made him his own Yuuuge diaper-man balloon.

See?

Obama never even got a teeny tiny diaper-man balloon.

'@#$%! Trump': Crop circle vulgarity to greet president as he flies to UK prime minister

f President Donald Trump hasn't been brushing up on his Russian in anticipation of his Monday meeting with Vladimir Putin, it may not be a problem. If he has, he may not want to look out of his helicopter as he flies to see British Prime Minister Theresa May at her country estate on Friday.

That's because an artist has turned part of a field along the route into a 650-foot-wide crop circle containing the word "Trump" -- and a vulgarity written in Russian.

It sort of reminds me of the line from Forrest Gump, "Stupid is as stupid does". Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama have tried to get NATO to pay their pledged amount to their own defense. Now it looks like the damn Yankee will accomplish his objective on that front. If the soy boys and citizens of Londonstine hate Trump, he is probity doing the right thing.

BTW Jeff, I would argue Obama fit that description better than Bush II.

Guess what he got from the right? You got it, hatred [that] was visceral and at times irrational.

And this is what Liberals actually see as a success. They got together, found ways to reach the masses, campaigned for everyone to take action, and then it happened.

Hmmm...it's too bad they can't do that in America to get things done. I know that would contradict their views and show they actually like this country instead of wanting to see it fail, but it would still be awesome for them to come together and influence action like this. I guess that takes work...and we all know the quickest way to get a Liberal away from something is to make it take effort....

These presidents all understood the importance of not publicly undermining NATO in front of America's enemies like Vladimir Putin.

Not hard to understand.

"So it is acceptable for our "allies" to get a free ride for the last 25 years?"

Depends.

What's the alternative you had in mind?

Also, why'd you put allies in quotes like that, do you not think they're really our allies?

#21 | Posted by jpw at 2018-07-13 10:34 PM | Reply

#21 | Posted by jpw It is a fact that individuals that consume massive amounts of soy have a profoundly lowered T level. Soy has pseudo estrogen in all of the the products we use. From macn cheese to "bacon bits" it is everywhere. Mostly in processed foods- learn to cook..
#20 | Posted by snoofy, I guess when you are picking up the check, everyone is willing to be your friend. Now which is NATO, a group of nations bound together for their common defense, or a group of deadbeats that refuse to pay their part? How many nations pay their pledge? Three, Estonia, Poland and Greece. Germany, the richest nation in Europe pays less than half of their pledge. Make it a real threat, if they are not serious about their own security, why should we be? Europe has their own resources, they can beat the Russians in population, economic power and military power. Why should we pick up the tab?
