The U.S leader was nominated by two members of Norway's governing Progress Party, according to state broadcaster NRK. The deadline for this year's prize passed in January, so this nomination would make him eligible for next year. It is unclear whether he was nominated for this year's prize.

Let's see what Trump will do if he thinks he can get a gold medal in the Olympics.

Our President should look to Kim's father for a sports role model.

This proves the Russians have now penetrated the Norwegian legislature to further their diabolical schemes.

He should lose his nomination for canceling the Iran deal.

Nominated for "signing" a non-agreement agreement that does nothing more than the previous three agreements which NK violated and has no disclosure requirements of nukes, no mechanisms for verification. Meanwhile moved the embassy to Jerusalem which caused a week of riots and deaths.

Yep... peace prize material if I have ever seen.

It's all he has and he even gets that wrong most of the time.

This may surprise a few here but seriously there is someone I personally believe should be recognised.

Nominated? Not sure he would really qualify but this person did someone that I personally found reprehensible and honorable at the same time.

He did something that made everyone think and it did have a positive impact.

He made me think.

He sacrificed and from what I've seen hasn't gone on a hate filled campaign like so many others.

Colin Kaepernick.

More appropriate than Trump.

This is stupid.

But then, Obama, Al Gore and Yasir Arafat all received the award for doing less-than-nothing, so it's become rather meaningless.

Someone = something.

Hate when that happens. Typing on a phone is weird.
