But but I was told the tax cuts would pay for themselves.

Reagan proved deficits don't matter to Republicans.

FTA: Unadjusted receipts last month totaled $217 billion, down 10 percent from May 2017

Is a 10% drop a record?

"Unadjusted receipts last month totaled $217 billion, down 10 percent from May 2017"

Who says MSGT flunked math?

Now that the black guy is out of office deficits don't matter.

Dementia Don wants to cut revenue more this year.

How will they make up the difference? They are coming for medicare and social security. Guaranteed.

Guess you missed the part where...

Well...everything. Right wing economic policy has failed miserably every time but that won't stop you from whistling past the graveyard this time around.

Hey... MSGT is a Republican. He doesn't let FACTS get in the way of a good narrative. Can't you just FEEL the Truthiness of what he said?

The Republicans are intentionally running up deficits so they can try to convince us that they have to cut SS, Medicare and Medicaid.

Republicans pointed to clinton to say democrats were immoral, now they praise a far less ethical man.

Republicans pointed to obama to say democrats spend too much, now they spend more.

If republicans don't stand for morality or fiscal responsibility, what exactly do they actually stand for and actively defend?

As far as I can tell it's white supremacy, abortion, and trump. Nothing else seems to matter to them. I'm open to proof that I'm wrong though...

You forgot rich people. Not just any rich people, but ones who don't care about the future welfare of our country. How else can you explain running up enormous deficits when the economy is doing OK and doesn't need stimulus?

Come on Moscow trolls, tell us how these deficits are good for us. Tell us when they'll start paying for themselves. Economists estimated the deficits would be $144 billion, it came out $147 billion. That's only a 2% error. Did Rs pay any attention to them? Where did the party of fiscal responsibility go? Come on trolls, we're waiting.

Increased spending and declining revenue -- the GOP way! Next stop: trump's 7th bankruptcy.

Republicans are "in control" now. When Democrats are in charge and they try to enact their agenda suddenly deficit will matter very much.

How telling.

The GOP's self-proclaimed fealty to fiscal responsibility in DC is one of the most successfully-peddled myths in modern times.

147 billion per month at the peak of the economy....

This is not going to go well...

When Americans vote for a man who has declared bankruptcy several times and calls it "smart" we are in big trouble. I don't want "smart" government, I want responsible government.
