Michael Avenatti, the outspoken attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, says the Russian government is trying to smear him in the press. Avenatti told The Daily Beast that people in the Kremlin have been trying to plant damaging stories about him in media outlets. Avenatti did not offer concrete proof to support the claim, but said two media figures and a high-ranking American intelligence official have all told him about the alleged Russian effort.

Michael Avenatti is a bagel.

State propaganda, whether it emanates from Russia or the United States, is more effective than facts, at least for its captured audience. To verify this simple truth, just talk to ANY Trump supporter.

#3 | Posted by bayviking at 2018-06-13 06:24 AM | Reply

The audience who hates Stormy Daniels eats up any propaganda supplied and they don't even care if it comes from Russia because they value their tribe over their nation.

So the Russians forced his firm into bankruptcy? Got a $10M judgement against his firm and $4.35M against him personally? Sued him for defrauding investors out of millions on the Tillys Coffee debacle? Are moving the Court to get the $577,000 in Stormy Daniels crowdfunding for legal fees paid to creditors?

Pretty easy to smear someone when you give your detractors this kind of ammo.

are you acknowledging that the info you posted was a deflection from narrative that the article conveyed? i'll assume what you posted is accurate but what does it have to do with avenattis' claim?

I'd sort of like to see a link. Don't ever just accept what right wingers say, most of them will just make stuff up and hope you don't challenge them.

Stormy Daniels' crowdfunding cash could be seized in Avenatti firm bankruptcy

Come on Danni, you know better than to accuse me of that.

You have been self-trolling? That's pretty weird, but in the context of the drivel you post it all makes sense now.

Try to stay on topic.

RoC got me curious. He got it almost completely right. A $10M judgement against Michael's previous Eagen Avenatti's LLP firm was triggered when a dispute between the previous partners was supposed to be settled for $4.85 million with a $2 million payment due in May. How many partners were involved in Eagen Avenatti LLP is not made clear by the reporting nor is it clear how one can collect from a LLP after dissolution.

Michael's new firm in Newport Beach, California, is called Avenatti & Associates APC, although he still uses his Eagen Avenatti email. A Justice Department lawyer said in court Tuesday that Avenatti had defaulted on more than $440,000 in back taxes, penalties and interest he promised to pay the IRS under a different bankruptcy settlement for the law firm.

It sounds like former partners, like Michael, are stabbing each other in the back, but no detail is provided. Otherwise this dispute has nothing to do with the Stormy Daniels case. Go girl.

Didn't vote for him but don't buy into the hysteria either.

a dispute between the previous partners was supposed to be settled for $4.85 million with a $2 million payment due in May.

Which was personally guaranteed by Micheal Avenatti and most likely has a CCP 664.6 clause in it allowing it to be turned into a judgment upon default.

In true Trump fashion, Avenatti is trying to tweet himself out of trouble by blaming someone or something else for the "smear campaign," which is not noted in the Daily Least piece but is the point.

It's "funny" how the Usual Freaks on the DR Left excoriate Trump for his BKs and not paying creditors, but when it comes to someone who advances their narrative...not so much.

when has Michael Avenatti lied to the taxpayers to secure their vote? does avenattis' business dealings rise to the same level of disgrace that trumps adherence to his marriage vows does? why do you try to imply that M.A.'s business is damning to stormys' case against trump? if trump falls prey to mueller or cancer makes no difference to me

Never said it or implied it, pretty lame try at assigning positions for a self proclaimed troll. Clearly, Snoofy or Boyduhh need to give you some Strawman lessons.

Why does anyone care? He is Stormy's attorney. That's about all his existence matters to the national dialogue.
