In an interview with the "Today" show on Monday, Kim Jong Un's former high school teacher said the North Korean dictator probably knows English and just pretends not to. "He was a good student, but he wasn't extraordinary," Michel Riesen said to NBC's Keir Simmons. Then called "Pak Un", masquerading as the son of an employee of the North Korean embassy, Kim is thought to have attended an English-language international school in Gümligen, near Bern. According to Riesen, Kim started school in Switzerland slightly over 20 years ago when he was 14 years old.

The thing about having everything in life handed to you is you never have to learn to work hard or be very smart. Just ask trump.

Just two criminals who'd be nothing without their dad handing them the world. Yet somehow heroes to millions of morons.

Good. Kim can let us know in English now which military exercises he will allow us to conduct or not conduct. Thanks Trump.

I wish our President could speak English, too.

It's too bad our President doesn't have a "former teacher" that will say nice things about him.

The truth: We have fewer than 20,000 troops, in Korea. The PDRK has about 2 million. Our mission all along MSR 1 was to be a trip wire. Nothing more. Basicly to run south away from the western corridor, to slow the north down long enough to let the bombers put a serious hurt on large formations of the guys coming after us. The exercises we had every year were a waste of time. Just a peep show for the press and the north. The north does not have a real air force. There navy is a joke. The south has a smaller army, but they are much better equipped. They have a good air force and their navy is good enough to destroy what ever the north has in a couple of days. If hostilities started, Seoul would get tore up. But Seoul has one of the biggest subway systems in the world. The stations are supposed to double as bomb shelters. Those stations are ten times the size anything in NYC. Just the stares going down are four times the size of what NYC has. As far as little Kim's command of English, as I was told in every country I was sent to, There are only two languages on earth, English and everything else. No one can do international business, fly a commercial air craft or operate a computer without some knowledge of English. As Kim got his education in Switzerland, he had to have competency in English to graduate from high school.

6 | Posted by TFDNihilist, I've done well considering that I thought the material used to control livestock was named for someone named Robert. Vowels are an anathema in Texas. At thirteen, I found out that that was not bobwarr, it was actually barbed wire. All is not the stuff we pump out of the ground, it's oil. I grew up speaking Texaneese, not English. Trump on the other hand speaks Brooklynese, or as the natives in Texas say, "damn Yankee talk".
