On Country Time's Facebook page: Have you heard? Kids across the country get busted for operating lemonade stands without a permit. We're taking the lead to #SaveLemonadeStands by paying for kids' fines and permits. According to CountryTimeLegalade.com, the website the company refers to on its Facebook announcement, an eligible stand operator can be refunded for legal costs up to $300.

This is actually pretty cool.

I can hardly come up with an activity that is more American than kids running a lemonade stand.

Great this will just encourage municipalities to fine kids for their lemonade stand. Look for a bunch of 300 dollar fines this summer.

You'd have to pay me $300 to drink that chemical swill. Give me something that actually has lemons in it.

Hey, when life hands you lemons (or Country Time), ya gotta make lemonade.

I'm with JeffJ on this one. Pretty cool thing for a company to do, whatever you think of their product. And they get to call it "legalade," which is also pretty cool.

Only you could take a thread like this and a cool story about a kid raising money for his baby brother and make a negative political comment.

When I grew up businesses were required to have permits, but in that day local govts were not so ridiculous to go after children who ran a lemonade stand in the summer.
