Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has secured an indictment against a Russian-Ukrainian political consultant who worked with Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. Konstantin Kilimnik was named in a superseding indictment on Friday along with Manafort. The new indictment replaces the old one against Manafort and adds charges of witness tampering and obstruction of justice to the slew of charges he already faces. The indictment alleges that Manafort and Kilimnik "knowingly and intentionally attempted to corruptly persuade" two people "with intent to influence, delay, and prevent the testimony of any person in an official proceeding." Mueller's team, which is investigating potential ties between the presidential campaign of Donald Trump and Russia, has now secured indictments against 20 people. Those include Manafort, Manafort's aide Rick Gates, Trump's former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos.

More witches continue to be indicted. Wonder if El Presidente will take notice that Kilimnik is the 14th Russian indicted so far in Mueller's probe? Often times the "Russia" issue has become so polarized by politics that most forget that Russia's counterintelligence operation and its effectiveness is far more important to deconstruct and understand than whether it ultimately ties to Trump. Mueller is doing his job by going after Manafort, and I think he's pressuring him more for what he knows about the RNC plank change regarding Ukraine - and how Russia was connected to it - than he is squeezing him over Trump. Trump had to know that Manafort was connected to people with Russian ties trying to help his campaign, with sanctions relief being their prize should he become President. But Manafort's conduit was too complicated for Trump's simple, addled mind. Trump doesn't do complication, this was probably Manafort's baby with Trump giving him autonomy as it came to his connections in the Russian sphere.

It's my belief that Mueller can already bring dozens of charges against Trump, largely from his fraudulent business practices and abuses of justice since becoming President, not to mention all the other members of his campaign having contacts with Russians that they all denied before the truth actually came out. That vein is rich with collusive material.

Manafort is about the election and the nuts and bolts process that was specifically corrupted by his precise actions which no one in the Republican Party has ever understood or been able to explain. The truth is out there and Mueller's hot on its trail.

Twenty indictments and Trump supporters will still claim Mueller has found nothing.

Come on Rcade. Nobody cares that Mueller found evidence of crimes that occurred before Trump even met the people who committed them, process crimes, or crimes committed by companies that didn't exist at the time they have been accused of committing them. People want to see real evidence of working with Russia or Russian government agents to manipulate the 2016 election. Mueller could ID OJ's wife's actual killer and people would consider it 'nothing' in regards to the whole Russia thing.

#3 - No one has a clue as to the extent of "real evidence" which Robert Mueller has accumulated on the seething maggot-ridden horror show this fat lying narcissist who is squatting in our White House dragged in along with him. stop

Did Russia interfere in favor of Trump in the 2016 election? Certainly. Was Trump aware? On some level yes, because Jr was actively soliciting dirt on Hillary, a common practice which began on the Hillary team with the Steele file. Was it as critical to the final result as Comey's 11th hour public concerns regarding Hillary. Unlikely. Was the Russian interference as large and focused as Cambridge Analytica or Brad Parscale who continues to work on Trump's behalf? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Does Trump's electoral victory represent the will of the people? ABSOLUTELY NOT, BY DESIGN.

What can be done about these problems?

Russia? NOTHING.

Gerrymandering, computerized vote hacking, fake felon lists, and the undemocratic electoral college. ALL these problems are domestic in nature and can be fixed. All it takes is the political willpower.

Wake up Democrats or expect more of the same. Bring the outrageous issues which we can do something about to the attention of the public. Your whining is pathetic.

The democratic politicians have been real weak kneed this. That should come as no surprise to anyone that has paid attention to the Democratic Party over the past 35 years.

They need to be very vocal about Trump and his and the Republican party's ties to a sworn enemy. They need to talk about it every time their is a camera in their face. They need to say this nation's survival as a democracy is at stake because it is..... but so far no one has been willing to do that in the Democratic Party, instead they are willing to stand by and be enablers to the fascists and racists in the Russian owned GOP.

Nobody cares that Mueller found evidence of crimes that occurred before Trump even met the people who committed them

First, many of the crimes described in these indictments occurred well after Trump had met the Defendants. Second, even if they had all occurred before he met those Defendants (which is not true), the fact that he just happened to associate himself with so many criminals is of interest to everyone other than the willfully ignorant

process crimes

Like lying to federal agents to cover up dealings with Russian criminals and their government? Once again, i think many people care about that; whether you choose to is irrelevant.

People want to see real evidence of working with Russia or Russian government agents to manipulate the 2016 election.

Those "people" should read a few of the indictments, specifically the 37-pager against thirteen Russians and three companies. But something tells me that "people" like you either have no interest in actually learning about what happened here or will find a way to say that 20 indictments still isn't good enough.
