Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, May 31, 2018

In a new interview set to air this weekend on CBS Sunday Morning, former President Bill Clinton will respond for the first time to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand's (D-NY) assertion that he should have resigned over the Lewinsky affair. "You have to -- really ignore what the context was," Clinton says, according to a CBS transcript. "But, you know, she's living in a different context. And she did it for different reasons. So, I -- but I just disagree with her."

Sounds like he understands the current political situation she's coming from but disagrees with her from the safety of political retirement.

"A Gillibrand spokesperson went on to clarify that Clinton's actions should have led him to resign if they occurred in the current era."

Yep, this is a yuge story. But hey, Trump appreciates any help he can get.

Yeah, Clinton should have resigned and allowed the Republicans to just run amock over everything the Democrats had accomplished for 60 years while people like Newt Gingrich, who was cheating on his wife at the time, remained in power. Gillebrand is a dope, I don't support her and Al Franken should still be serving in the Senate.
The welfare of the many is more important than the ire of one woman.

Don't forget about Denny Hastert who replaced Gingrich.
