Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, May 29, 2018

Embattled Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens announced in a press conference today that he is resigning. Politicians and lawmakers in the state began calling for Greitens, 44, to resign last month amid allegations of sexual misconduct. ... A special investigative committee in the house has already released two ruinous reports against Greitens. The first details accusations made by a woman with whom he was having an affair. She said he threatened and mistreated her. The second report focuses on allegations that Greitens wrongfully obtained a charity donor list to fundraise for political purposes.

"The former Navy SEAL then said, "The time has come to tend to those who have been wounded," adding, "Let's walk off the battlefield with our head held high."

Greitens ended the news conference saying he will "always be a fighter for the people of Missouri."

This jerk never served with SEALs in combat.

pro tip for the idiots who elected Eric:

Being good at killing people doesn't make one a good governor.

Hear his resignation speech? He blamed everyone else but himself. Typical modern American politician scum.

It looks like he lost the court fight, and they demanded to see communications between his former "nonprofit" and his political campaign. Trouble.

Him and 50 Shades Of Gray were both overrated.

"He blamed everyone else but himself."

What were you expecting, from a member of The Party of Personal Responsibility*?

(*As long as it's someone else's)

The United States Navy teaches professional military education that revolves around core values ... duty, honor, integrity, responsibility, accountability, excellence, ethical conduct ...

This guy failed them all.

The SEALs who reveal themselves are always POSs. Being a killer doesn't make for good anything else.

He mentioned God in his resignation speech ...

Lemme guess, it was God who made the woman, who wasn't his wife, to trip and fall right on his pole ... amiright?

What, a, douche-bag.

At least none of the usual suspects are out offering their support for this poor victim.

But it's still early...

That doesn't matter, he is still a SEAL.

From your article:
Greitens avoided telling outright lies about his service or engaging in the kind of political commentary that other seals embraced -- from the Fox News contributor Benjamin Smith calling Obama a Muslim to Carl Higbie's use of racist, sexist, anti-Muslim, and anti-gay remarks during his time as a right-wing radio host. Instead, Greitens delivered the sort of talks on leadership and service that made him a welcome speaker at the Harvard Center for Public Leadership.

He sounds like a decent officer but was a sh -- bag civilian when he chose to sexually assault women around him.

Oh so he was only a bag like 0.1% of his waking hours then.

My opinion is he was a bag more like 100% of his miserable life.
