In his annual disclosure of personal finances, President Trump acknowledged that he paid lawyer Michael Cohen between $100,000 and $250,000 last year. Cohen and Trump defense attorney Rudolph Giuliani have both said some of that money was to reimburse Cohen for a $130,000 hush-money settlement with porn star Stormy Daniels, who says she had an affair with Trump.

Trump's revelation came in his signed disclosure report, required by federal ethics law.

The Office of Government Ethics flagged the disclosure in a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia in 2016.

This also means that 2017 disclosure was fraudulent.

Likely both.

Donald's never had the feeling of walls closing in on him. He'll either fold abruptly or go all Gotterdamerung.

Headline fail. Should read
-CNN version: "Trump Acknowledges Filing False Disclosure form in 2017"
-Fox News version: "Trump form Tampered with by Obama and Deep State"
-NYT: "Trump Disclosure Includes Payment to Lawyer"
-National Enquirer: "Melania to be Released from Hospital Early"

"And no republicans care."

It's similar to many on the left. As long as he continues to advocate for issues they care about everything else is unimportant. They support the issues, not necessarily the politician.

Of course in this case they do indeed seem to worship every tweet from his fingertips but that's part of an ancillary discussion.

It's amazing. It's beginning to look like the collusion thing is going nowhere. THAT is what was supposed to bring down Trump and so far it isn't even making a dent. Yet, this stupid Stormy Daniels thing is creating all sorts of problems for Trump.

Uh huh. Yeah sure. Tell that to Al Franken.

He was sacrificed for Senator Gillibrand's career advancement. The way of thinking in my number 7 is one that has been defended many times here by some of the A-list Retorters.

Trump is the opposite. His supporters support the politician not the policies. He told them he'd be on the working class's side but everything he's done has been for the rich. His supporters don't care. As long as he HATES who they HATE, that's all they need.

All you're bragging about is republican's willingness to tolerate a criminal in their midst.

Watch some real news and learn about the collusion.

The week before the trump jr meeting with the russians to get dirt on hillary, trump announced he'd be holding a major press conference to expose clinton corruption the next week. But Don Jr got no hillary dirt in the meeting. The next week, trump's press conference never happened.

If that aint enough. Look up obstruction of justice. Just because republicans don't care that he's a criminal, doesn't mean nothing will be proven.

Your party has sunken lower than anyone ever thought possible.

Let me add some perspective for you.

The "Smoking Gun" tape that took down Nixon was in the hands of the Special Counsel's hands months before it was released. They knew at that point they had enough to indict Nixon but they didn't release anything until the investigation was concluding...because that's how the investigation works.

And that investigation lasted FAR longer than this one has.

Don't expect to get anything from Mueller until he is done or fired. Then expect a flood to drown Trump and most of his team.

It'll be a flood but it won't drown anyone. Repubs wont do anything.

They'd rather abandon the rule of law and have a total criminal in the white house than impeach one of their own and piss off trump's flock of morons.

I didn't offer any defense.

Re-read my post more carefully (I'll provide emphasis):

It's beginning to look like the collusion thing is going nowhere. THAT is what was supposed to bring down Trump and so far it isn't even making a dent.

Given that collusion is rarely discussed any more and based upon what is publicly known, the thing that was supposed to bring Trump down appears to be going nowhere. That's simply how I see it as things stand right now. Of course, as Sycophant pointed out, Mueller could be sitting on a bombshell, but just hasn't gone public yet.

Last sentence:

Yet, this stupid Stormy Daniels thing is creating all sorts of problems for Trump.

Do you honestly regard THAT as a defense???

HAHA!

someone thinks what is "apparent" via browsing the federalist society and the heritage foundation is evidence enough to come to this conclusion

makes sense given all the other things you claimed in the past were "apparent" but, never really materialized

6 years was it?

How about that birth certificate nonesense?

Is it a total lack of self awareness that allows you to operate without shame? Or just straight up dishonesty?
