Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

In 2009, when Mueller ran the FBI, the bureau asked Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska to spend millions of his own dollars funding an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent, Robert Levinson, captured in Iran while working for the CIA in 2007.

Try to keep up, Visitor, this was back in the Reset Button Days, when Russians like Deripaska were our friends.

"Mueller's indictment of Manafort makes no mention of Deripaska..."

It must be getting scary in the WH when an old, failed FBI mission involving someone not mentioned in any Probe related indictment is the latest excuse to try to get rid of the SP.

Corky, from the article:

"Deripaska once hired Manafort as a political adviser and invested money with him in a business venture that went bad. Deripaska sued Manafort, alleging he stole money."

Reading is fundamental.

But hey, the former Moonie Times Editor and CPAC darling John Solomon, who's opinion article this is, wouldn't be guilty of a little rwing spin, doing Trump's dirty werk for him, right?

Paul McCleary, writing for the Columbia Journalism Review has been critical of John Solomon's reporting.[16] In 2007, he wrote that Solomon had earned a reputation for hyping stories without solid foundation.

[16] Progressive news outlets ThinkProgress, Media Matters for America and Crooked Media have argued that Solomon's reporting has a conservative bias and that there are multiple instances of inaccuracies.[17][18][19]

That same month, Erik Wemple of The Washington Post said that newsroom staffers at The Hill had complained about Solomon's reporting for the publication.[21] The staffers reportedly criticized Solomon's reporting as having a conservative bias and missing important context, and that this undermined The Hill's reputation.[21]

They also expressed concerns over Solomon's close relationship with Sean Hannity, whose TV show he appeared on more than a dozen times over a span of three months.[21]

As always, consider the source.

A distinction sans any difference. Nothing that should make the SP recuse himself, which is what Hannity's friend is asking for here.

So is critical thinking.

You should try it.

And, of course, Manafort probably stole money from him.

That is what crooks do.

I wish the Levinson situation could have been resolved during the Obama admin Iranian negotiations. Fascinating story, wish it could be resolved once and for all.

Oh. I think nerve a has been touched. Put aside for a minute the current imbroglio, don't you find it interesting our FBI went to Russian gangsters for help? And that our state department upset the applecart?

- I think nerve a has been touched.

Rwing bias has been outed, more like.

- interesting our FBI went to Russian gangsters for help?

It wasn't interesting enough for the rwinger to write about it until he decided he could spin it as a reason, lame though it may be, that Mueller should recuse himself.

But apparently that obvious fact is too subtle for you.

It's amazing, truly it is, that someone as innocent as Trump needs such thin, ridiculous reasons to try and halt an investigation into what is surely nothing, right? After all, he is innocent, right?

Desperation rarely looks good on someone with no reason to wear it.

Dem's are dependent upon most American's ignorance to the fact that politicians, lobbyists, ex-generals, oil and gas, chemical manufacturers, and weapons CEO's are intertwined with foreign governments around the globe. Every two-bit despot is a customer to some US corporation. Money is hidden by the elite in off shore accounts registered to shell companies that can all be traced back to Delaware.

When exposed, the apple and orange carts gets pushed out, and the crimes are explained away be partisan hacks.
