Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Firehouse Strategies, a Republican firm, partnered with the data analytics team at Optimus to interview 2,486 likely midterm voters in four swing states (Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin), and found that "the Mueller investigation is gaining credibility among independent voters." The survey finds independents in the states trust Mueller over Trump by 19 points. More: "Among those surveyed this month, 46.9% believe Trump lies intentionally to mislead people on a regular basis, 28.7% believe he exaggerates the truth with good intent, and 24.4% believe he does not lie."

The sad truth is, the longer this drags on the LESS credibility he will have. Same thing happened with Ken Starr.

How many indictments did Ken get?

"24.4% believe he does not lie"

No lies at all?

Something is seriously wrong with almost 25% of us.

Let's not forget the 27% that still supported Dubya at the end of his tenure.

@#1 ... the longer this drags on ...

I wouldn't call it "dragging on." It is more along the lines of Mr Mueller stumbling upon an increasing scope of bad behavior.

Who would have thought a few months ago that Mr Cohen would be investigated by the NY DA because of evidence Mr Mueller's investigation found?

The aspect that I find most interesting is that we still have little to no idea of the nature and quantity of evidence Mr Mueller has found and accumulated. However, considering the indictments Mr Mueller has brought forward so far, I'd definitely say that he in on the correct track.

Wouldn't be quite ironic if it is Mr Mueller who turns out to be the one who actually drains the swamp?

Imagine that. There goes that Alt-right talking point down the drain.

"24.4% believe he does not lie"

In other news, 24.4% claim to be independent while voting Republican exclusively and have Cheetos dust on their noses.

For comparison purposes...

The Clinton email investigation lasted about two years, with no indictments.

The Benghazi investigation lasted about four years, with no indictments.

So far, Mr Mueller's investigation has lasted a bit over a year, with more than 20 indictments.

Trump is gaining credibility with Russian mobsters and North Korean dictators.

So there.

I love this investigation as the fallout as it goes along shows that Nixon was an amateur compared to obama. Nixon used a few outsiders to attempt to gather opposition info, where as obama apparently has used his appointed cronies within the DOJ, FBI and CIA. www.youtube.com

24.4% mirrors the mental illness numbers so that explains the current GOP/Trumphumpers mental situation.

So what this is really saying is that 53.1% (most people) don't believe he is that bad (either lying with good intent or not lying at all). It is actually the minority that think he is Satan incarnate.
