A Utah teen stands by her decision to wear a traditional Chinese dress to her prom, a move panned by some as cultural appropriation but embraced by others. Keziah Daum said she won't give in to pressure and delete an April 22 Twitter post showing her posing with her prom date in the red cheongsam, or qipao.
"Cultural appropriation" is the battle cry of those unfun at parties they are the kind of morons that touch the plate right after the waiter tells them it's hot, and are surprised as angered when they discover it really is. Who gives a crap what is and isn't a "traditional" dress for some cultural. To use this as a reason to bully a teenager is unconscionable. It really is disgusting. People should be able to wear whatever they want, cook whatever they want, and wrote whatever type of music they want.
