Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

So far this year, almost 3,000 18-year-olds have registered to vote -- compared to 1,650 all of last year. Teen activists have made big waves with school safety protests across the nation. Organizers are hoping those protest numbers will translate to political action at the ballot box. An estimated 15,000 people took part in a march at the Arizona State Capitol on March 24. So far this year the Arizona Secretary of State Elections Office says almost 3,000 18-year-olds have registered to vote between January 1 and April 13 (2,927 total).

#1 I would say it is a good indicator they plan on voting though.

They may have sat on their asses in 2016 because they thought Hillary and Dotard were the same. Once Dotard got into office and started implementing the regressive agenda, then they shootings and false promises and caving into the NRA. I think they are fed up.

Can the DNC win them over? Not just be saying "We're not Trump".

Schumer pushing for legal weed I think is a good start.

All true. If Ds can't come up with anything other than "We're not Trump" they've got a problem. Although I'd have to admit that right now the only way to vote against Trump and the other Rs is to vote for a D. It may not be a winning hand but it's a good card. Sigh.

Pushing for legal weed will sure piss off some of the drug warriors. The war on drugs has worked out about like alcohol prohibition worked but so far we haven't been smart enough and honest enough to admit it was a dumb idea.

Time to raise the voting age to 25. Voters should have some real-life experience beyond the campus and Starbucks.

By the time Chucky the Schemer gets done, every teenager in the country will be convinced that the Dems will give them free college tuition and a 4-year supply of dank weed.

Nazi Coddlers, actually. And quite accurately do in your case. I mean, Richard Spencer no longer has to self-wipe.

That's fine, I think I'll talk to them about student loan forgiveness. Think they'll listen? Pretty sure they'll be telling Ayn Rand to F herself. Then we'll throw in some single payer healthcare and a living wage. You can come back and try to impress them with some intellectual b.s. but they won't be buying. Colonialism??? Are you kidding me? What decade do you live in?

3000 new 18-year old voters for the entire state of Arizona. Yeah, that's make a whole lot of difference at the polls.

I suppose you think it's smart to burden a whole generation with so much college debt so that they are unable to establish stable families, buy homes, become entrepreneurs while they are still young. Yeah, that's a good way to boost an economy that's 70% based on consumption. Brilliant. But at least we won't be like the Germans, those commies.

What great ideas!! That's what civilized countries do, at least the college part. They've found it does good things for the economy. But then some rich kid might have to compete with a poor kid who was raised by a single mom. (Sound familiar, anybody?) We can't have that in the new plutocracy. That's why Nulli really does think it's a good idea to burden poor kids with debt they can never escape.
