The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency violated the law when it approved a $43,000 soundproof phone booth last year for the office of embattled Administrator Scott Pruitt, a congressional watchdog unit said on Monday. The Government Accountability Office said the EPA violated the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, which prohibits an agency from obligating more than $5,000 in federal funds to furnish, redecorate or make improvements in the office of a presidential appointee without first notifying appropriations committees in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

Now what? Seems we read every day how this official or that one broke the law, yet nothing happens.

Oh, this is an easy fix. Just tie nine soundproof phonebooths that cost $5,000 together.

The Mafia is rarely taken down by their criminal behavior and it takes a while to nail Mafia Gangsters on fraud and tax evasion.

You think Comey was being cryptic, in that sense, when referring to the Donald as acting like a mod boss? As in Comey doesn't believe he'll get busted for anything relating to collusion, but there's plenty to go at him under tax fraud, money laundering, or larceny, etc?

"You think Comey was being cryptic, in that sense, when referring to the Donald as acting like a mod boss?"

Yes. Except I don't think it is cryptic at all. Comey's description is right on. It is exactly how a mob boss works. Everything is done to please the boss and no dissent is allowed. Unless you like concrete boots. In Trumps case I don't think Humpy has had anyone killed (except maybe by his ignorance) but he uses his money to hush people up or the threat of a huge expensive lawsuit or the loss of their income to keep them compliant.

When Trump said they would spend a trillion dollars on the "infrastructure" you didn't think they actually meant that for the Hoi Polloi did you?

Usually the ehtical tone from the top is a good guiding influence.

In this case, electing someone with zero morals or ethics and letting them appoint people with immoral unethical people is the cause.
