Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, April 16, 2018

After two flailing, back-to-back interviews on Monday morning news shows, the internet completely unleashed on senior White House advisor Kellyanne Conway. After her interview with "Good Morning America" co-host George Stephanopoulos, neo-conservative political analyst Bill Kristol noted one major point Conway seemed to slip up admitting. "Kellyanne seems to say Trump wouldn't have won without the Comey announcement 11 days out," Kristol tweeted.

That's a lot of power for an unelected member of the bureaucracy. It's lucky for us he has such high ethical standards. Drain the deep state swamp.

Funny. It doesn't seem like Trump is doing any of that.

If you really wanted the swamp drained, you'd be protecting Mueller as he takes down dirty players in the game. Until that starts happening, no one will take your "drain the swamp" talk seriously.

Trump was elected and will leave when his term is up. The swamp is made up of unelected bureaucrats that won't accept the election results.

I see. The Swamp is ANYONE who would DARE question Trump and his minions for doing anything illegal.

Mueller must be part of the swamp I assume for finding all of those criminal activities and indicting people on them? Thank you for clarifying your insane position.

Both assertions are open to speculation, especially the last one. Why would he relinquish power if it meant prison?

I'm willing to bet that Trump will leave after his term up.

Will our democracy still be intact when Trump leaves office? That's my concern, we can pretty much fix everything he breaks except that. Bush gave us the opportunity to prove it.

I'm concerned too, but it's because of the actions of the resistance and deep state.

And what do you think the "Deep State" is going to do? If anything, Trump is making it possible for the "Deep State" and for Russia to mess around with the elections pretty easily. And you keep cheering it on.
