Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, April 15, 2018

Boston hedge fund billionaire Seth Klarman lavished more than $7 million on Republican candidates and political committees during the Obama administration, using his fortune to help underwrite a GOP takeover of the federal government. But the rise of Donald Trump shocked and dismayed Klarman, as did the timid response from the Republican-controlled House and Senate, which have acquiesced rather than challenge the president's erratic and divisive ways. So, in an astonishing flip, Klarman, at one point New England's most generous donor to Republicans, is taking his money elsewhere: He's heaping cash on Democrats.

A billionaire with a conscious.

Now if Democrats could actually start fighting on principle instead of poll testing each and every battle, things might start looking up for a change.

The first 4 years of a Democrat in the White House is spent cleaning up the mess made by a Republican in the White House.

We won't need much poll taking. The giant holes that Trump and his highly dubious agenda have blasted in our democracy is way too obvious.

A billionaire with a conscious.

While this is a good thing, it's hard to imagine that this money doesn't come with strings attached; strings that could compromise core democratic policy objectives.

He doesn't have a conscious; just the first billionaire to realize the GOP method of rapidly depreciating the middle class and poor is unsustainable.

Funny to see Dems embrace the billionaire. Definitely no strings there...

Democrats should reject all money from donors and run without advertising, campaigns, traveling or anything else that costs money. Riiight! These critics pretend that they are supportive of progressives but really they are just pseudo-intellectuals who love to listen to themselves pontificate. Blow hard is the best term for them I believe.

Why? Democrats don't have issues with billionaires. They have issues with Billionaires using their money to screw the middle class and poor only to benefit themselves.

The fact that you can't tell the difference is not surprising.
