An inspector general's report used to justify the recent firing of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was sent to Congress on Friday, alleging that McCabe misled investigators about his role in providing information to the media before the 2016 election. The report by the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General concludes that McCabe "lacked candor, including under oath, on multiple occasions" when asked about his role in giving information about a Clinton Foundation investigation to a WallStreet Journal reporter in October 2016. That "lack of candor" violated FBI rules, according to the report, written by inspector general Michael Horowitz.

Wait, what? DailyMediaHuffThinkTalkingKosMattersPoProgessPointsMemo told us to think that he was fired because he was anti-Trump, not because he lied to investigators at least 4 times.

Scathing reports don't matter anymore.

Unless it is about a Democrat, of course.

One dirty liar within the FBI exposed (and it will get worse for him) and Comey has been shown to be the thinned skinned, moron we all knew he was. I see some jail time coming for Obama's FBI leadership. Will any flip on Obama?

The corruption of the Obama Justice department is just beginning to be exposed.

Doesn't someone have to be indicted for a crime first?

See Trump "leadership" if you need an example of how the process works.

DONNER, one of the articles I read said that the IG is also creating a document with recommendations as to how these should be handled.

I would guess the recommendation for indictment would come there.

...all those Republicans in the FBI you mean?

Should we go down the list?

Comey-Republican-Appointed by Obama, confirmed 93-1 in the Senate
McCabe-Republican-Appointed by Comey
Rosenstein-Republican-originally a Bush appointee

So when you say Corruption in the Obama Justice Department, no one with half a brain knows what the hell you are talking about. And it doesn't seem like anyone in the Justice Department is under fire.

So you got anything factual to add?

And you would be wrong. McCabe's firing is more political than anything else. The leak was completely to protect himself from accusations that he slowed the Clinton investigation for political reasons as he blamed pressure from the DOJ....which is why the firing and whining is funny. The leak actually hurt the Clinton campaign. McCabe broke policy but not the law.
