Stormy Daniels is cooperating with federal investigators, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

The source said federal investigators are looking into the nondisclosure deal and subsequent payment made by President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to the porn star who is now suing Trump over the 2016 hush agreement.

The federal probe was described by the source as extensive and aggressive, and a sizable team is working on the effort, the source added.

Daniel's lawyer, Michael Avenatti, tweeted about her cooperation with the FBI on Tuesday, while also making a dig at Cohen referencing the raid.

Michael Avenatti ✔ @MichaelAvenatti My client @stormydaniels and I will fully cooperate with any search for the truth regarding the threats, cover-up and lies concerning the NDA and $130k payment. Unlike others, we don't require the presence of the fine members of the FBI in order to speak honestly. #basta

"We were contacted by various attorneys from the government who are looking into this," he said on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360."

"We're going to cooperate fully. We're going to be as user friendly as possible. We're going to respect the process. We understand the seriousness of this. This took on a whole 'nother level within the last 48 hours."

"In a phone conversation with CNN on Tuesday, Cohen described the raid as "all extremely professional, courteous and respectful," in contrast with remarks made by the President the day before.

"I am unhappy to have my personal residence and office raided. But I will tell you that members of the FBI that conducted the search and seizure were all extremely professional, courteous and respectful. And I thanked them at the conclusion," Cohen said."

Sounds like he's flipped already.

"We're going to be as user friendly as possible."

Stormy is going to be user friendly? Imagine that!

I was pissed with the GOP wasted years of Clinton's presidency over an oval office BJ. Saying that you caught a politician in a lie is a given in my opinion. The Mueller investigation was supposed to look into Russians compromising the US election. Clearly, that was not the case given the direction of the 'investigation'. Lastly, never had respect for the DOJ or FBI as I always saw them as completely partisan - and that goes for any politician that made their bones as a prosecutor.

I would 100% support Trump firing Sessions, Rosenstein, and Mueller and replacing them with a special prosecutor with an actual named crime to investigate. Endless fishing trips aren't healthy for the country as shown during the Bill Clinton fiasco.

So, your turn now. Do you honestly believe that their was Russian collusion (which isn't even a crime), now that Mueller's only play is Stormy?

What I honestly believe, REX, is that the Trump Administration is decayed to the core. What I honestly know is that Trump and it need to go, for the sake of the 300 million. Americans, not Russians.

Didn't the SC mandate give him the power to pursue any criminal actions uncovered during the investigation?

Ridiculous mandate that should have never been granted, which is why Trump would be correct in shutting it down and narrowing the scope.

I hope the IRS is checking to make sure Stormy paid her taxes on that $130k.

Did she deposit it in a bank account, or try to hide it in her bra?

So you'd prefer a POTUS who's got known criminal activities uncovered being allowed to remain in office because one specific goal wasn't met?

That's asinine. And likely driven purely by the letter after his name.

In any case, it's been granted and Trump wants to shut it down because he's dirty as hell and knows the only way for him is down in flames (thank god).

Trump changes what he says about Daniels almost weekly, enough so that the only explanation is that he is trying a previous lie with a new one. He does this a lot, on a lot of things.

Take it to Court and let truth will out.

No doubt you cheered the investigation of a land deal that morphed into an investigation of a stain on a dress.

Thank God Mueller

Not Muller. The feds. As in FBI. You know, the ones who raided his home, office and hotel room. From the NY district office of the FBI overseen by a TRUMP donor and appointee. You Trumpublicans sure are defensive about Muller.

The odds were 1:100 on that one.

Trump firing Sessions is okay since he recused himself. Firing Rosenstein and Mueller would be the smoking gun in obstruction case against the Mango Moron. Firing Comey was bad enough. But now with dementia don being named as a subject in the investigation, firing Mueller is grounds for impeachment. Donny tic tacs should do it. I would love to see the contortions Yurtle the Turtle would do to excuse it.
