Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, April 09, 2018

Former banker Joseph Otting told a crowd of bankers that his Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is doing its best to make life easier for them -- a sentiment that might have been surprising when the 2008 financial crisis was more fresh in the public's memory. "I like bankers." That was Otting's opening line to community bankers gathered in Washington on Monday. He said the OCC -- which regulates more than 1,000 lenders, from the little guys to the Wall Street giants -- is trying to improve its "responsiveness to our customers, which are the banks."

The OCC was one of the three U.S. bank regulators that put tougher regulations in motion after the crisis. Otting was a banker in those days, first as an executive at U.S ... As the first banker in decades to run the OCC, he assured the industry audience that the Trump administration "is very banker-supportive."

#1 Please. Anyone who thought he would be looking out for anyone other than his billionaire friends is too stupid to be taken seriously.

Trump pulled the biggest con job in the history of the world. He convinced a group of unemployed or barely employed blue collar dummies that he would be looking out for their best interests and would work every day without taking a day off for golfing to help them out. He makes Joel Osteen look like a simple pick pocket.

The fact that he still has rabid supporters (I know a few) that are not in the 1% who ardently believe still that Mexico will pay for the wall, Mueller is a democrat witch hunt, he will pay off the debt, etc just shows how truly stupid people are.

Yes, you're correct. Clinton and Otting are two sides of the same coin.

He's a former banker. I have little doubt that most of his income comes from somewhere other than taxpayers.
