Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

There are three lines of evidence suggesting humans are still evolving, says evolutionary biologist Scott Solomon in the run-up to International Darwin Day. Monday marks the 209th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, the Father of Evolution. "We know more about some aspects of the evolution of other species, like Galapagos finches and Caribbean lizards, than we do about our own, ongoing evolution," says Solomon, associate teaching professor of ecology and evolutionary biology and author of the book Future Humans: Inside the Science of Our Continuing Evolution (Yale University Press, 2016). Solomon says scientists have begun using genetic engineering technologies, including CRISPR, to rewrite people's genetic code.

What does darwin predict as the fate of creatures who elect and follow unstable sociopathic egomaniacs with weapons of mass destruction at their fingertips?

It's all a lie.

Even Darwin would be thanking God that Hillary didn't get elected.

Scientists fake the data to get grant money.
Conservatives should not be fooled into vaccinating their kids or using antibiotics. They are from the devil.
Stay pure!

To celebrate Darwin Day I am going to prove that you can cross a busy freeway blindfolded as long as you have good intuition about when cars are coming.

Darwin predicts people as dumb as you don't get to reproduce very often.

Evolution instructs organisms to take the path more likely to lead to greater prosperity. Not sit on the fence and pout because none of their options are perfect.

Someone apparently still needs to evolve beyond their Humpy Trumpy inspired Hillary hate.

People from Darwin's time were not evolved enough to even consider voting for a woman for President.

At least we can say that the majority of us have evolved.

Sorry you didn't evolve like the rest of us Sheepy but maybe you can always hope for some kind of last minute mutation. Or maybe someday you will bump your head and realign your brain housing group.

Sheeple's false equivilancy sucks, but don't make it about sexism.

I hate hillary too, but I would happily vote for elizabeth warren, or any other woman who hadn't enriched herself by serving the elites.

I am sure many would. Between Warren and Trump there should be no question who to vote for. But, we did not have that option.

I have voted in many elections where I did not prefer either candidate but I voted for one of them I did not like anyway.

Between Hillary and Trump there should have been no question as to who to vote for either.

No, the greater evil was obvious to anyone with a brain. But the same was true in the dem primary, reverse sexism prevented a lot of people from seeing that.

URBAN LEGEND! The Arizona Highway Patrol were mystified when they came upon a pile of smoldering wreckage embedded in the side of a cliff rising above the road at the apex of a curve. The metal debris resembled the site of an airplane crash, but it turned out to be the vaporized remains of an automobile. The make of the vehicle was unidentifiable at the scene.

The folks in the lab finally figured out what it was, and pieced together the events that led up to its demise.

It seems that a former Air Force sergeant had somehow got hold of a JATO (Jet Assisted Take-Off) unit. JATO units are solid fuel rockets used to give heavy military transport airplanes an extra push for take-off from short airfields.

Dried desert lakebeds are the location of choice for breaking the world ground vehicle speed record. The sergeant took the JATO unit into the Arizona desert and found a long, straight stretch of road. He attached the JATO unit to his car, jumped in, accelerated to a high speed, and fired off the rocket.

The facts, as best as could be determined, are as follows:

The operator was driving a 1967 Chevy Impala. He ignited the JATO unit approximately 3.9 miles from the crash site. This was established by the location of a prominently scorched and melted strip of asphalt. The vehicle quickly reached a speed of between 250 and 300 mph and continued at that speed, under full power, for an additional 20-25 seconds. The soon-to-be pilot experienced G-forces usually reserved for dog-fighting F-14 jocks under full afterburners.

The Chevy remained on the straight highway for approximately 2.6 miles (15-20 seconds) before the driver applied the brakes, completely melting them, blowing the tires, and leaving thick rubber marks on the road surface. The vehicle then became airborne for an additional 1.3 miles, impacted the cliff face at a height of 125 feet, and left a blackened crater 3 feet deep in the rock.

Most of the driver's remains were not recovered; however, small fragments of bone, teeth, and hair were extracted from the crater, and fingernail and bone shards were removed from a piece of debris believed to be a portion of the steering wheel.

Ironically a still-legible bumper sticker was found, reading
"How do you like my driving? Dial 1-800--------."

I agree. Between those choices it seemed obvious to me, then also. I voted for Bernie and I could not (and still do not) understand why everyone else did not.

I believe that is why we lost.

I think Bernie could have beat him. Bernie would not have been taken in by his --------.

This one is easy to see from outside the Dem-----------. Hillary can do math. Hillary is an actual Democrat, not a Dem-When-Convenient (this was expressed in exit polls, Dems rewarded party loyalty). Hillary pushed American hegemony. Hillary is not an old white man.
