Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and a protected first-round pick in 2018 to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance. Thomas only played 15 games for the Cavs. The trade gives the Lakers $46.9 million in cap room. But wait, there's more: The Cavs traded Dwyane Wade to the Miami Heat for a protected second-round pick and acquired Rodney Hood and George Hill in a three-way deal with the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings, giving up Iman Shumpert and a 2020 second-round pick to the Kings and Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose from Cleveland to the Jazz.

I kind of came to the same conclusion, the Lakers wanted to shed contracts so that they could attract 2 max salary players (James and George) and this was one of the only trades that could have made it happen. Waive Deng, let Randle and Thomas walk and bingo, King James and Paul George are wearing purple and gold next year.

If the Lakers buy LeBron, they should put it on the Underhill's American Express card.

They got a first round pick, too. They were worried they'd have to unload a pick, instead they got a great deal.

LeBron already owns a home in Brentwood, his kids are enrolled in the Brentwood School and they live here in the off season, what do you think the odds are that he doesn't sign a max deal with the Lakers?

The same odds that has Trump doing the orange-nasty with porn stars.

Btw, this year I'm going to name a fantasy baseball team Stormy's Orange DD's.
