KCTS, the PBS affiliate in Seattle, has a job ad for Science/Environment Producer. Once again, neither a background in science or even a college degree is required. Instead, the jaw-dropping ad reads: "The ideal candidate will be an experienced field producer with a deep understanding of Northwest environmental issues, including urban sustainability and environmental justice." In other words, the ideal candidate works for Greenpeace or Sierra Club.

NPR is 98% financed with private funds. That said, it just makes working for NPR require similar qualifications as working for the Trump administration.

There are far more important jobs being staffed by unqualified people right now: Judges, Heads of Government agencies, International Politics, healthcare, education, opioid epidemic.

How we have a Reporter being asked to have reporting skills and it's a thing for the righties. This reporter may speak to scientists and report on it. The same can't be said about Trump political appointees.
