"...Trump doesn't actually embody any of the values he's harkening back to. Faith? He panders to the religious far right but claims he's never even asked God for forgiveness. Family? He has flouted his marriage vows with porn stars and is accused by multiple women...of sexual harassment and worse."

No way. Trump has god. That god is money.

Trump believes in de-regulated Christianity, where the poor give to the rich.

C'mon, man. It's right there in Two Corinthians. Supply-Side Jesus said so.

Like all horrible people Trump hates anything that stands between him and whatever he wants to do at any given moment.

Christianity with it's laundry list of rules and vast volumes of texts on them would enrage him.

He is not an Atheist.

Trump is an Alienist from the planet Xenophobe.

- Christianity with it's laundry list of rules

Technically, the OT had the list of laws. Christianity, although it has been portrayed as being the same, really only has on the requirement of faith. Everything else may fall into place, but it's not a will power driven system; it's a spiritual force working through a faithing person system.

Corky what you just wrote would enrage Trump even more than what I wrote. :)

Trump doesn't believe in god because he would have to accept god is greater than him and worse, more popular.

Atheists claimed for decades an atheist would make vastly superior President.

Now they have one.

Reality is not something they were counting on.

Right-wingers claimed for decades a business tycoon would make a vastly superior President....

Trump being a total liar when it comes to his faith (and his religious hypocrisy in courting evangelicals for support) is the polar opposite of a self-identified atheist president governing as a atheist.

Corky, Tor:

"Two Corinthians walk into a bar..." :P

Trump is a little cracker-eating Christian.

"self-identified"?

As though that would make Trump any less of a terrible person?

"Two Corinthians Walk into a Bar...

Two Corinthians walk into a bar

And say to the barkeep, "We come from afar.

We're looking for two Thessalonian chaps

And wondering if you might have seen them perhaps."

"Maybe I have and maybe I've not.

I'll have to reflect and give it some thought.

In the meantime, what'll it be:

Whisky or rye or a glass of chablis?"

"Red wine with some bread--no, grape juice and a wafer.

Keeping it Baptist is bound to be safer."

"Who's this?" said the other. "Am I seeing things?

Is this not Two Samuels with his friend Two Kings?

Then comes Two Chronicles and after these

Two Peters, Three Johns, and Two Timothys."

"I'm calling the cops," said the man tending bar.

I don't give a damn who you guys say you are.

You're pulling my leg or you're certifiable.

Every man jack of you comes from the Bible."

We have just entered the dread Twilight Zone:

Another dimension, where minds are blown;

It's all the fault of that man on the stump,

That Bible bungler, Donald J. Trump."

I may have overstated Trumps theology.

I don't know exactly what he is but his lack of Christianity is clear.
