Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, January 30, 2018

Joe Kennedy III was chosen to give a speech in response to President Donald Trump's State of the Union speech on Tuesday, January 30. However, not long after Kennedy appeared on television, viewers couldn't help but notice that the corners of his mouth appeared wet. As you can probably imagine, it did not take long for social media to light up with posts about Kennedy's lips and mouth, many wondering if he was drooling or "slobbering." "Why is he foaming at the mouth?" one Twitter user asked. "Tomorrows headline: Kennedy drools through entire rebuttal," wrote another.

I doubt he can get beyond this, Democrats put forth a legacy, why? Why not someone fresh?. Don't the Democrats have anyone new? Perhaps a minority?

Conservatives think its drool because they drool.

Liberals think its chap-stick because if you were too stupid to come to that conclusion you must be a conservative.

No, that wasn't drool on the lips of Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III. He says it was ChapStick.

Twitter lit up with jibes about the 37-year-old Democrat's response to President Donald Trump's State of the Union. In his televised speech Tuesday, Kennedy's lips appeared wet and glistening, leading to tweets about Kennedy's "drool."

Kennedy joked on ABC's "Good Morning America" Wednesday that he "decided to go a little bit light on the ChapStick this morning...which is probably a wise choice." He told CNN that Tuesday's ChapStick was "a little too much, apparently."

BTW, the guy who has been accused of drooling while he sleeps through meetings is Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. Well, if true and to be fair, he is an elderly gentleman, so this wouldn't be a surprise.

Exactly! That people want to make a big deal out of something so trivial is risible.

There is another thread on this same subject. Maybe Rcade moved comments over to the other thread but forgot to merge the two threads?

He reminds me of Ralp Malph from Happy Days.

That with his silly style of speech made it hard for me to listen to him.

I have to admit all this amuses me. That's why Trump is in the Oval Office. He's hilarious.
