Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

To the so many white people who practice yoga, please don't stop, but please do take a moment to look outside of yourself and understand how the history of yoga practice in the United States is intimately linked to some of the larger forces of white supremacy.

Heads you lose, tails I win. If it's not cultural appropriation it's colonization. Doesn't matter which way the influence is flowing it is always the white Americans who are at fault...I mean white racist Americans.

Americans take everything and turn it into a consumption oriented capitalist monster. You'd think 4/5ths of us were living paycheck to paycheck or something.

As someone similarly scolded me recently, why don't you extol the virtues of the ancient practices of yoga's history instead of berating white American female yoga practitioners as a capitalist, appropriating racist...but then who'd listen? Could it be that you are participating in feeding the American media's negative appetite thus furthering the very system you decry? If it's publicity you want, go negative. Negative news sells. Damn. Now who's the racist bastard?

Now yoga pants, that is something I pay attention to.

You have to attend the "right" schools to become that stupid.

Every hippie doing goat yoga also has a Klan robe in their closet. Those go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Anyone who loves Trump is linked to white supremacy. Just like they're linked to public corruption and sedition.

I just have more important things to think about. That article is a bunch of nonsense for people with too much time on their hands.

It's too bad our society takes things that are good for your body and mind and degrade and insult those things that people are trying to use to make themselves better humans.

I call it the crab in the bucket syndrome.

No crab is allowed to escape because the others will just drag it back into the bucket while trying to climb up its back.

Um, that's quite a "stretch" the article is making from yoga to Andrea, er, I mean to white supremacy.

White supremacy itself being a thing that Andrea is a near perfect argument against actually existing.

There are 2 things that white people see as being racist:

1. Direct involvement with the KKK or the Aryan Brotherhood

2. When POC say something that is slightly critical of any white person, even if they are directly involved with the KKK or Aryan Brotherhood

Nothing racist about that, no...

I'm still trying to figure out if the above poster's user name is supposed to be "Mr Silenced O Good", or if he's a Doctor Who fan referring to the Silence and a hybrid Dog Ood.

I'm pretty sure #13 is #2 on my list of thing white people think are racist.

To the frickin letter!

Nativism is racism. And that is what this article is advocating. The article is BS.

To be fair, MrSilenceDogood's statement isn't necessarily racist. It absolutely shows
prejudice , but it is not necessarily racist.
