Former Secretary of State John Kerry is considering a second run for president in 2020 to take on President Trump, according to comments reported by the Israel newspaper Maariv. According to the report, Kerry told Palestinian officials that he was strongly considering a run in 2020, and hinted that Trump will likely not be in office much longer in strongly-worded conversation Wednesday.

The Dems need a fresh new face with new ideas. Why not Kerry?

No thanks John.

Kerry is way too qualified to follow Trump. The shock might be too much. Who wants a distinguished liberal Senator and Sec of State who just told the Palestinians to ignore Trump.

Who wants a liberal Senator and Sec of State who just potentially committed treason by telling the Palestinians to ignore the President of the United States.

FTFY

I think he should run again, he did so well last time.

Kerry should run as he could win on charisma, and successful performance as Sec Of State!

During his Senate career, Kerry has been primary sponsor of the following bills (excluding resolutions and amendments sponsored). This table does not count bills which Kerry has co-sponsored.

Session Years Bills Sponsored Signed into law
99th 1985-86 15 0
100th 1987-88 21 1
101st 1989-90 44 0
102nd 1991-92 28 1
103rd 1993-94 27 1, 2
104th 1995-96 32 0
105th 1997-98 19 0
106th 1999-00 33 1
107th 2001-02 81 1, 2, 3
108th 2003-04 30 1

Since he was a much more successful Senator than obama, he would be a shoe-in.

For some reason, even though I had the successes aligned under 'Signed into law', it did not post that way above. Maybe Rodgers kknows why.

He's been out of the senate for some time and he got hit really hard with his "liberal senate voting" record when he ran last time.

If he can avoid that and instead focus on his Sec of State experience......he could have a good shot.

I don't see how the other dems in a primary can hammer him with much.

"he got hit really hard with his "liberal senate voting" record when he ran last time."

Did you notice Obama had the most "liberal senate voting?" And Hillary Clinton, too? And Al Gore had the most "liberal senate voting"... when Feingold still was alive!

How, you ask? Simple: the group making the designation simply makes whatever the Dem nominee voted for "the most liberal" stance. Viola!

Donny went through his own personal Viet Nam and that's going to be good enough for you.

I doubt they are missing him. Especially with gems like #13.

Yeah, #13 is yet another example, as if we needed one, of this clown not even pretending to make an argument. No wonder he was consigned to real estate.

Liberal is a dirty word. Most liberal is an abomination.

I think treason is too far, but it's definitely in bad taste. I get that he thinks Trump is so bad that things have to be done, but I don't think that kind of behavior is justified.

That's pretty much how i see it. It was wrong but it certainly was not treasonous and it certainly isn't egregious enough to get worked up over it.

The Republican party's hate of veterans (especially Vietnam veterans) will ensure Kerry is never elected.

See all the hate from Republicans?

It's because Kerry is a real Vietnam Veteran and not a prop they can use and then put back into storage.

It's going to be hard for him to run if he's in jail. By holding himself out as a US official and interfering in the Israeli / Palestinian peace plan he's actively and consciously violated The Logan Act. I hope he's prosecuted.

He's not presidential; he's a douche.

John Kerry for President, eh? It won't happen. Vietnam Veterans are rapidly aging out of relevance, just as the Korean War vets and the WW2 vets before them, and soon they'll be the yapping old farts at the VFW on Saturday night!

The Boomers need to retire. Let it go. We need young blood in there, fresh ideas.

If Kerry wants to be president he should quit colluding with palistinians. The left doesnt like presidents that collude with our enemies.

The 2020 election should be very entertaining. My guess is it comes down to Biden vs Rubio while trump watches from his jail cell.

Trumps cell mate: trump, you wanna be the husband or you wanna be h wife?
Trump: I guess the husband.
Trumps cell mate: we'll come over and give your wife a bl0wj0b.
