Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

President Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen reportedly used a private company and a pseudonym to get money to an adult film star who allegedly had an affair with the president in 2006. The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that Cohen used Essential Consultants LLC, to send a lawyer representing the actress who calls herself Stormy Daniels $130,000 as part of a non-disclosure agreement concerning her relationships with Trump, who has been married to first lady Melania Trump since 2005. Cohen represented the Trump Organization at the time. In making the transaction, both Cohen and Daniels' lawyer used pseudonyms, according to the Journal. The deal allegedly occurred in October of 2016, just weeks before voters headed to the polls.

On Wednesday, InTouch published excerpts from an interview with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Cliffords, from 2011 in which Cliffords claims to have had sex with the president after meeting him Nevada in 2006.

"[The sex] was textbook generic," Daniels said. "I actually don't even know why I did it, but I do remember while we were having sex, I was like, 'Please, don't try to pay me.' "

Daniels also told the publication that after the encounter, Trump kept saying: " 'I'm gonna call you, I'm gonna call you. I have to see you again. You're amazing. We have to get you on The Apprentice."

Which Dem was it that dropped out of the 2008 POTUS race because it was revealed that he was having an extramarital affair?

John Edwards. He was also prosecuted on 6 counts of campaign finance law violations related to the affair. He was acquitted on one count with a mistrial on the other 5. abcnews.go.com

One has to think that Trump's Storm Troopers wouldn't have buh-lieved this story, even with this added proof which Trump will also deny... they would have called it Fake News then as he does now.

Perhaps some of the Repubs who had supported some of the other Clown Car candidate might have not voted for him, though, and that might have been enough, especially considering his slimmest of slim fractions EC advantage.

His friend at the National Enquirer, and apparently the WSJ, kept voters from knowing.

Who paid the money and was it legal, or will there be potential campaign finance law violations like the ones Edwards was charged with?

I read that this LLC was created on the same day that Stormy's boyfriend was preaching about morality at Liberty University.

I'm trying to figure out how the Clinton Foundation fits into this story.

Oh, that's right, it doesn't.

Imagine being such a pig that you cheat on your new bride with a porn star and then hire a lawyer who has to use a pseudonym and create a secret corporation to bribe the porn star not to talk. Imagine then that you then run for president wearing the banner of the party that preaches traditional family values and criticizes the opposing party as immoral hedonists. Then imagine that the family-values party takes it all in and says, meh, no big deal. Preposterous, right?

Dried up because Fox News isn't talking about it 24/7? Only 12 hours a day now?

Hardly dried up. Seriously though, you really aren't smart enough to be here. May I suggest the Sesame Street website? Or perhaps Sponge Bob?

I would assume you used "new Bride" for a reason to detract from a past President that cheated on his wife.

Hillary isn't the right comparison, John Edwards is ...

Edwards Charged With Election Finance Fraud
www.nytimes.com

John Edwards, the former Democratic senator from North Carolina and nominee for vice president in 2004, was once one of his party's most promising young stars. But on Friday he found himself in a stunning fall from grace -- in a courtroom in North Carolina, being read his rights.

Earlier in the day, a federal grand jury indicted him on charges that he violated federal campaign finance laws by "secretly obtaining and using" contributions from wealthy benefactors to conceal his mistress and their baby while he was running for president in 2008.

Edwards ended up being not guilty on one misdemeanor count and a mistrial for the remaining counts. The point of Edwards isn't the legal fallout, it's that rich donors for Edwards paid hush money to a mistress.

With Trump (unlike John Edwards) we get a two-fer = Trump & hush money and Trump banging a PORN Star.
