Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, January 18, 2018

Faced with the likelihood of a "blue tsunami" in the 2018 midterm elections, President Donald Trump is holding out hope that terrorists will attack the country, reported the Washington Post on Wednesday. "In private conversations," said the Post, "Trump has told advisers that he doesn't think the 2018 election has to be as bad as others are predicting. He has referenced the 2002 midterms, when George W. Bush and Republicans fared better after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, these people said." Matthew Yglesias at Vox.com wrote, "[T]his is a frightening line of thought for an incumbent president and his team to be entertaining."

As I have maintained since his election, he is a traitor and is dangerous for America.

I wonder if the deep state will take him at his word and organize a false flag operation.

Perhaps Dotard could one up Shrubya by losing the entire Pentagon.

It's not likely to be his only line of thought. We need a money-laundering indictment on the man before he's quite worked himself up to kill or arrest people.

I never understood this train of thought.
"If there's a terror attack, I better rally around the incompetent that let it happen."

"I never understood this train of thought."

Here's a better one ~

Trump is under the impression that people would rally around him like they did George Bush after 911.

Also, so he could crow "See what Obama and Hillary did to you."

Not even Cheney was warped enough to hope for a terrorist attack.

We're talking about Rs here and you're trying to use logic. It doesn't apply. It really doesn't apply if you start trying to drag some facts into the discussion.

LOL, I wondered which thread was the Drama Queens' Lefty Porn for today.

Let's see, an opinion piece in Raw Story quoting an opinion piece in Vox quoting an paragraph in a WashPo piece that says that Trump "has referenced the 2002 midterms" but doesn't attribute the rest of that sentence as something Trump said. Triple hearsay at its finest.

You may resume your circle flapping.

Yes. This presidency IS a disaster and the Dems will not let that go to waste.

The blue wave is coming.

November 2018 can't get here soon enough.

The blue wave is coming.

I don't disagree, the GOP is going to get slaughtered during the midterms, the question is whether they can keep the Senate as the House is going to shift to the Dems.

#22 | Posted by Rightocenter at 2018-01-18 07:23 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

I've decided.

I'm tired of wondering "why?" about the POTUS. The final answer is this: Trump truly is the manchurian candidate...for the Republicans. As a lifelong Dem, he only switched sides to sabotage the other team; to do everything possible that would tarnish the (R), ensuring a Blue Wave for decades to come. He will ultimately assassinate the credibility of the Republican Party.

That's the only thing that seems plausible at this point. This is like being in a really awkward dream.

"He will ultimately assassinate the credibility of the Republican Party."

We also thought the same thing after the Bush/Cheney administration ~ that the Republican Party would be in the wilderness for 40 years. LOL. That didn't work out too well, did it.

We had a good president in Obama, maybe even a great one, and then the Repubs went right back to their old self-destructive ways. They fell for another charlatan who baited them with shiny objects he couldn't deliver and a lot of jingles to cover his lack of substance.

I'm just saying ~ don't reply too much on Republicans learning anything from this experience. Trump won't be there in 2020 but Romney will and they'll forget all about the vicious way he made his fortune at Bain Capital. And, if elected, the country will be right back at square one ~ again!

The FBI stands ready to stage and solve another terrorist attack. They've been doing that for decades now. They just need to find a couple of disenfranchised morons.

No need for a false flag. His buddy Pootie knows guys who could set it up to suit trump just fine.
