Haitian officials on Monday evening held an emergency high court session which resulted in an agreement to unseal and publicly released documents relating to Jean-Claude Duvalier's indictments for money laundering through Trump tower, during his brutal 15 years dictatorship.

Seems strange that this should surface after a dem lied about what Trump said about that country. How long has it been since Jean-Claude Duvalier was in power in that country?

#3 | Posted by Sniper at 2018-01-17 11:48 AM | Reply

More like it seems logical that this shows up after what Trump said. Does it matter to you that Trump was assisting money launderers in the 80's?

Is that a proven fact tru or is someone just making up crap again. Wen someone commits murder you call the person "alleged" but when It is trump, there is no allegation, it is a solid fact without a shred of evidence.

Something tells me that when Haiti releases the documents confirming this article's assertions you wont believe them either.

#6 | Posted by truthhurts at 2018-01-17 01:05 PM | Reply

Lets wait until we see the facts before we jump into the deep end tru.

You're the one who is denying it's importance before any facts are in.

Of course not.

ALL negative news about TRUMP is "FAKE" and denied.

ALL positive news about Trump is REAL and amplified.

Seems strange that this should surface after a dem lied about what Trump said about that country.

#3 | Posted by Sniper

The Free Press disagrees with you. However, we know why you can't believe them.

Because as Dear Leader has reminded us what another Dear Leader, Joseph Stalin, once said, the press is "the enemy of the people".

And for some reason you gladly believe that.

You're not exactly batting 1.000 when it comes to phrase attributions.

After all, you're the one who believes that Barack Obama came up with the idea of 'taking a gun to a knife fight'.

Perhaps not but it was made infamous by him because it was used often by Stalin to describe his enemies with the purpose of destroying anyone who "disagreed with the supreme leader".

"It is a testament to the condition of our democracy that our own President uses words infamously spoken by Joseph Stalin to describe his enemies," he said. "It bears noting that so fraught with malice was the phrase 'enemy of the people,' that even Nikita Khrushchev forbade its use, telling the Soviet Communist Party that the phrase had been introduced by Stalin for the purpose of 'annihilating such individuals' who disagreed with the supreme leader."

So you CAN use the Google!

Just not very well.

The term originated in Roman times as Latin: hostis publicus, typically translated into English as the "public enemy". The term in its "enemy of the people" form has been used for centuries in literature (An Enemy of the People, the play by Henrik Ibsen, 1882). Currently this form is mostly used as a reference to Soviet phraseology.[1]

The expression dates back to Roman times.[2] The Senate declared emperor Nero a hostis publicus in AD 68.[3]

The words "ennemi du peuple" were extensively used during the French revolution. On 25 December 1793 Robespierre stated: "The revolutionary government owes to the good citizen all the protection of the nation; it owes nothing to the Enemies of the People but death".[4] The Law of 22 Prairial in 1794 extended the remit of the Revolutionary Tribunal to punish "enemies of the people", with some political crimes punishable by death, including "spreading false news to divide or trouble the people".[5]

Yep.

And not only that, but Ibsen's "enemy of the people" wasn't the press (the town newspaper).

It was the protagonist, Doctor Thomas Stockmann.

The press are acting like an arm of the DNC and you wonder why we question them. They also identify as liberals and you wonder why we question them. Journalist should be out there gathering facts and investigating then reporting but instead they say Trump is guilty of something then try to find out what he is guilty of. The press have lost credibility with all but the left but they sing the lefts song so the left doesn't notice. The 4th estate is dead until they go back to the facts just the facts and leave out their opinions.

But don't worry, Donald will have the best legal representation capable of standing his presence.
