Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

John R. Schindler, Observer: As Donald Trump approaches a year in the White House, one of his gifts that is too seldom acknowledged is his fine-honed ability to make days seem like weeks and weeks seem like months, even years. As president, he has managed to jam-pack so many bizarre, jaw-dropping antics into such short periods of time -- any one of which would be scandalous for any normal White House -- that they blur into each other inside the news cycle and soon melt into the morass of Trumpism. However, for the sake of future historians trying to unravel the unprecedented disaster which is the Trump presidency, let's review the past week's Oval Office highlights (such as they were), many of which involve President Trump's profligate use of Twitter. As is his wont, last Saturday morning the commander-in-chief started tweeting, and even for Trump this was a doozy.

From the article:

Americans can be forgiven for yearning wistfully for the days when presidential "scandals" focused on the wrong suit shade -- which Donald Trump has made seem like many decades ago already.

Kind of a waste of space report here.

A week of incredible scandals from the President is not a waste of space, the only people who would say that are the idiots who support Donald Trump regardless of what he does, what he says or who he proves himself to be. You won't find comfort her LUMBERCOCK, too many of us actually have brains and can still think enough to recognize the insult to America that Trump represents. I'm embarrassed for my country. The rest of the world is just watching as they shake their heads.

Also, just as I suspected, Lumbercock was a newbie member who probably only posts in threads which focus on his God, Donald Trump. I have relatives who are just as ignorant.

"Kind of a waste of space report here."

I don't think it's a waste of space to outline what one week of Trumpian crazy looks like. The MSM whisks along from one crazy Trump drama to the next without stepping back to take a look at what the totality looks like. This article does that, but only for one week. Imagine trying to outline each and every crazy Trump drama for the first year of Trump's presidency. It's mind-boggling.

The bar has been lowered so far for what is acceptable presidential behavior that I have serious doubts the office will ever recover. If it does, it will take decades.

Can you imagine just three years ago a reporter asking the president "Are you a racist?" and it being a serious question?

1 week of bug-house crazy GrabbenFüher antics would last a 'normal' president 4 years or more. To watch this all go down and nary a peep from the thugs on the right side of the aisle says so much. As such it doesn't say so much - it YELLS it!

...the idiots who support Donald Trump regardless of what he does...

Are you really sure that "idiots" should be plural?

The morons among us who say "this is a waste of space," need only to replace the name Trump with Obama and then imagine their own outrage if he had done exactly the same things Trump actually did.
