President Donald Trump confirmed late Thursday that he canceled a trip to London next month to help open the new U.S. Embassy there, saying he did not support the project and that former President Barack Obama crafted a "bad deal" to see it built. "Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for 'peanuts,' only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars," Trump tweeted, before continuing: "Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!" The process to move the embassy actually started during President George W. Bush's tenure.

Sure, Donald, sure. Like that's a credible explanation.

The word on the street is that Trump would have been met by the bare asses of a million Londoners who had been planning to protest his visit by mooning him.

Trump supporters are such pathetic dupes. If anyone still believes him after the last couple days then they are just morons.

I want to see a defense of these comments from one of his apostles. Tell us what a great leader he is.

Seriously...It's quite a feat for the president of the United States to have inflamed a Conservative-led version of our greatest ally so badly that he can't even visit for the dedication of a new embassy. Let that sink in.

Not really the issue; POTUS is going to be protested all the time, it's part of the job. donald just can't handle it. He needs guaranteed loving crowds or he won't go.

You mean the president that sold our london embassy for pennies on the dollar before we were ready to move to the new one and then had to pay rent to the new owners until the new building was finished?

It is becoming difficult to distinguish between lies and delusions.

"Purchased and built from the sale of our London properties, the new embassy did not cost the U.S. taxpayer a cent, yet it is one of the most advanced embassies we have ever built,"

Tuttle said property firm Cushman & Wakefield helped sell the lease and that the eventual deal was within the range they were hoping for. Wetherell said he recalled there being a number of parties interested in the property. "It was very exciting," he said. "At the time, these were record prices."

Is it possible Trump has a grudge against rich Englishmen he inherited from his poor Scottish mother?

"Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for 'peanuts,' only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars,"

Wow, that Obama really was a powerful guy. He managed to make this deal while Bush was still POTUS!

The decision to move away from the Grade II listed building to Nine Elms was taken by the George W Bush administration in October 2008, shortly before he left office.

The state department said it would begin construction on a new site in Nine Elms and the existing embassy was put up for sale immediately. It said it considered renovating the existing building but said the goal of moving to a secure, modern and environmentally sustainable site could best be met by moving.

Lol..... the child raping piss queen chickened out because he knew his visit would draw tens of thousands of protesters. What a ginormous gash.

After 4(?) years of this, whoever is the next POTUS is going to have to do an actual apology tour.
