Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, January 10, 2018

As late as last weekend, [Steve] Bannon continued to tell people that he planned to stay in charge at Breitbart and that he would keep his radio show. He argued that the show and the site were doing better than ever, even though associates have questioned whether that was true. In fact, the radio show would be another casualty of his split with Breitbart. Sirius XM said Tuesday that because its programming agreement was with Breitbart, Bannon would no longer serve as a host. Even on Tuesday morning, Bannon was preparing for the show, and he invited a friend, longtime political operative Patrick Caddell, to join him on a Wednesday broadcast to talk about immigration. But those plans ended after the announcement. Caddell, in a brief interview, said he was informed late in the day that Breitbart editor Raheem Kassam, not Bannon, would be hosting the Wednesday show. "They said, it'll now be Raheem," he said.

About the same time Bannon did, actually.

I was curious if Bannon was going to go the way of Glenn Beck.

It seems he is. Although he doesn't seem to be the pushover Beck was so it might not be so quiet a death.

He might as well write a tell all book.

What! No golden parachute built into Bannon's employment contract with Breitbart? You mean they just kicked him out in the snow like a common nobody? No "professional courtesy" that allows Bannon to save face? Just here's your hat, what's your hurry and don't let the door hit you in the ass. Is that the way it is?

Or maybe Bannon wasn't smart enough to have an employment contract. Tsk, tsk.

When Bannon sobers up, I smell a lawsuit.

"Tempted?"

I don't think he has a choice. I'm sure his attorney will give him all the appropriate warnings and the consequences.

As for weaseling back in ~ people like Bannon never go quietly into the night. When the heat's off I think he'll try to reinvent himself and come back with a bang. In the meantime, he has to dig up new financial backers. Unfortunately, that's probably not going to be as hard as you'd expect. They won't be as loaded as Rebekah Mercer but if anybody is out there, and they are, Bannon will find them. Count on it.

This is a shame. Breitbart needs a nazi like him to carry out their mission.

Maybe now, he will have time to bathe and shave.

Personally, I find such people as her and other descendants of billionaires who want to influence politics in an anti-working class, anti-freedom, anti-Constitution way to be reprehensible scum. Eric Prince is another as is his sister Betsy Devos. Human waste products.
